Curran: The stakes are high for Belichick, Patriots vs. Cardinals

i hate curran's constant sneering at pats and BB constantly bringing up brady but i dont know how disagree with his prediction . This team is mentally weak IMO to pull off a road victory on national television when they need it.

Curran has always been a Brady guy talking to Brady's Dad for content. Amazing how Pats fans nd reporters still hold onto the memory of Brady.

As much as I love to see the Dolphins lose, the fact that the Chargers won was not great for the Pats. Now as a result this is a must win in order for them to leap frog the Jets and the Chargers in the standings ! They have no room for error. Hope the team is up to the task tomorrow night. For what it's worth I hate Monday night games, I always miss kickoff and recently their record on prime time has been horrible . Why the schedule makers decided to give them 3 consecutive (could have been 4 if next week wasn't flexed) primetime games is beyond me ??

They'll beat the Cardinals. The problem is that there is no way they are winning out against the Bengals, Dolphins, Bills, and even the Raiders because it's a former coach could be a trap game. Taking the playoff race out of it, I would say 2-2 in that 4 game stretch is a win, but they need to win out or at least go 3-1 to have any sort of chance.

So the Cardinals game will be the win Belichick needs to ward off the big doom and gloom. Then they'll lose enough down the stretch to miss it.

Well the biggest problem for the pats is that they themselves arent very good mentally to win 4 out of 5 left to get to the playoffs.

Daring prediction, really sticking your neck out.
Hahaha, what i meant was , for a team vying for playoff cotention vs a supposedly inferior team out of contention this could be a 50/50 game. by no means pats should be favored .

I'm not looking forward to this game. A mobile qb with above average wrs is not what we need right now. We need to almost win out to even have a chance and this feels like the biggest trap of them all. My homer faith is cracking.

I like Michael Hurley's stuff but he's a major Brady honk. Still covers him like he plays for the Pats.

Patricia I predict will call a good game. I’m optimistic. Got to utilize chunk plays with our speedier wideouts.

But at this point fans like me will still be unhappy. We’ll ask What took you so long, Patricia?

It’s understandable to see the slight progress of rookie Thornton, but it’s unacceptable the slight production of Jonnu Smith and Kendrick Bourne, both proven players.

Never thought I’d get to a point where I wasn’t excited on game day….but this team is so damn unlikeable.
It starts with the coaches and goes to the players. Other than a few guys I think the team has more me-first guys than they have had in the Belichick era. Look at the starting OTs.

Biggest mystery: What happened to Shaun Wade? He has perfect size at 6’1” and plays outside corner. His play fell off a cliff his last year at Ohio State. The season before he looked like a first round pick. No clue what happened.

But he was an elite 5star talent coming out of Jacksonville, Florida.

We are square holing the round peg with Jonathan Jones, the elite slot corner.

I like Captain Stone’s hashtag to #freeshaunwade

Its a "Must Win" but Kraft is not going to fire BB if they lose this game or miss the playoffs entirely.

Kraft is firing a warning shot similar to his complaints about the Pats subpar drafting. The way this works is that the Pats win vs the Cardinals and Mac Jones looks like Mahomes out there.

He's been dealing with a bum ankle for most of the season

Bet you said the same thing 2 years ago before they beat him

Headed out to watch this one. Planning on a few pale ales. One last prime time game to get fired up for. Hope the team is ready unlike the Bears and Bills games.

At least this game has everyone dialed in knowing playoff hope's ride on this win. So for one game, everything is in play.
I expect BB to allow the O to be aggressive and even uptempo. Maybe MP had enough time in the break to go study some of JMD's game plans from recent years and copy them - Lord knows he can't come with them himself.
It sucks that Meyers & Harris are out. But it will force Mac to use his TE's and hopefully get Agholor & Thornton using their speed indoors.
And maybe we'll see Marcus Jones in a Flex role, like James White - that would be cool, since Strong has done NOTHING but make mistakes.

If they play the "don't rush the passer and keep him in the pocket defense" I will scream! BB consistanly allows bad passers (i.e. Justin Fields) to rip them apart because he tells his d line to contain and not rush the QB.

They should punish Murray anytime he has the ball.
