Mac's job is definitely safe. Props to Zappe he did good considering but it's hard for me to think we wouldn't have had a better chance with Hoyer yesterday.So.... verdict?
Hard to grade Zappe. BB always puts the reins on tight when he wants to manage a QB no matter what so it's hard to get a read on him. But based on what I saw I think Mac's job is safe at least.
CAM!Next week? Mac still hurt, Hoyer still in concussion protocol, Zappe starts, but who will be back up? Do they need to bring in another qb?
He lost his last 12 games as a starter now. There is no upside in playing Hoyer. He has lost his last 11 games as a starter. Third string Zappe was thrust into action at one of the toughest stadiums to play for opposing teams. As far as expectations go, i thought it could have been a lot worse. Zappe has the right tools but is just very unprepared for the NFL game, he needs time. I looked at one of his long videos of college highlights and could not find one play where he actually player "under center". Everything was shotgun, no play action. No way to go but up for him. Hoyer, not so much.
Lets' actually get Bailey Zapped prepared to start an actual NFL game before we start making bold statements. Zappe to his credit have done something Mac hasn't done yet hit Parker for a TD food for though.So.... verdict?

Was he really that awful for a 3rd string QB thrust into a game like that ?People watched Zappe play last night, and they are still voting for him?

Zappe was pretty bad, but that is expected
