Let Axel play.

The game plan should avoiding a shoot out with Rodgers with or without Jones.

They didn’t ever release that it was a high ankle sprain.
It may have been an ankle sprain but not a severe high ankle sprain.
Since when have the NEP released anything specific to an injury's severity except putting said player on IR in which the severity is implied?

Anyone who uses the "entire nation thinks" about the Patriots has absolutely lost any and all credibility.....assuming they had any to begin with.

Seriously? "the whole wide world says xxxx about the Patriots"

My god.
Yeah, worrying about looking tough or cool went out the window when I graduated high school. Sort of can’t believe we’re, as adults, even having this conversation.

Right, but the post I was quoting said “Either they lied when they told the press it was a sprain or he’s been touched by Jesus.”
My point is I don’t think it’s accurate to claim that they told the press it was a [high ankle] sprain.

Deer antler spray works wonders.

I hope you don’t work in some type of management position at work.

Actually I do know. Off the top of my head I can think of at least 6. 2 during collegiate wrestling practices/matches, 1 during high school football getting tackled, 1 during drunk incident down the stairs, 1 while running at night stepped in pothole, 1 as a kid during baseball game stepping in drain in ground…all severe high ankle sprains.

They take months to heal, but in the moment no one screams like a little school girl. Stop defending him, only makes you look worse.
Since you never fully recover from them, it's amazing that you played sports while hobbling around. Is your name Kirk Gibson?

Yep, if you wanted definitive proof that their are posters here (who claim they are fans) that look for every little single thing they can use to disparage the team, here is another example.

His reaction tells me he was in a lot of pain and afraid his leg was broken after probably hearing what he thought was a crack. That I get, especially after he spent the entire offseason relentlessly working heading into the season, only to potentially see it all end on one play.

You calling Jones soft without taking into consideration that kind of context is a little frustrating, to be honest. People seem to forget that the fear of losing an entire year is a big deal to players and based on your assessment, you're basically saying that we should be calling Gronk soft for his reaction in the Denver game when he suffered what ended up being a bone bruise.

Losing an entire offseason to rehab and potentially having it affect their future scares players. It doesn't make them soft. It makes them human beings.
Don't waste your time or energy would be my reaction to that "particular " poster.

Sorry bro, no one is listening to someone as clumsy as you.

Jeez I turned off "ignore" out of curiosity and was overcome by a giant wave of excrement populated with trolls, orcs, and even a balrog or two. Ignore back on.
you forgot to mention keyboard tough guys

This entire situation looks really bizarre at this point. With the way Mac ran off the field in complete hysterics you would think he had sustained a very serious injury. Then "severe high ankle sprain" was reported. Surgery and second opinions were discussed. Then Bill's weird "day by day" press conference on Wednesday. Now all of the sudden Mac is a "game-time decision" for this Sunday??

Someone please explain how any of this makes sense.

I am, and I have no idea what that has to do with my confusion over your hyperbole about your infinite never healing high ankle sprain that you never ever reacted to.

I like you Ian and I admire you defending “our” QB very noble. You’re also jumping to conclusions what he may or may not have been feeing which could have validity..

But I’ll be short and straight. Why do you think the entire nation is reacting the way they are on social media basically mocking and humiliating Mac? The reason is a high ankle sprain is a very common injury suffered by millions of Americans. They know what the pain feels like. His over the top blood curling screams and agonizing faces don’t fit the injury. Again, like you theorized perhaps it could have been more of an emotional or mental reaction compared to a physical one, but in a league that requires gladiators ..it’s an odd look.

Patsfans for years mocked roethlisburger’s reactions to injuries, and now they are falling on their sword for Mac

Bro get off Twitter, it’s not real life. “Blood curdling screams?” What the heck are you even talking about?

Mac is at Friday's practice, so I guess all of this B.S. has been for nothing...

I guess Spygate and Deflategate were all 100% real too. The entire nation thought so, we should’ve just accepted it. Someone call Arlen Specter.

You are correct that based on that set of conflicting data points, it makes no sense. Reports of a severe high ankle sprain are consistent with Mac's reaction. At this point no one can accurately predict when Mac will be back on the field. BB's day by day is just his way of giving Hoyer and the team air cover while keeping the pressure on Mac to deal with his injury in the most expedient way possible.
