Mac Jones Injury Video [UPDATE - X-Rays were negative]

Everyone talking about the injury and not how awful he was before the injury.

His numbers since Thanksgiving have been really really bad.
Mac obviously was under McDaniels system his rookie year. BB as we all know brought in yes men to run the Shanahan style offense. No excusing the decision making for the throws.. however how does this help make 2nd year QB better? The best playmaking reciver in KB was Malcolm butlered.. this kid is up against alot.. you'd think the Hall of fame coaching staff would be focusing on Macs strength in wich he was drafted .

Allen did not come from the National Champions. He did not play in a pro style offense.

6 players from Alabama were drafted in the 1st round of the 2021 draft. 3 Alabama players were drafted in the top 10. Josh Allen was the only Wyoming player drafted by the NFL in 2018. A 1st round pick and last Wyoming player to be taken in round 1 was in 1976. over 40 years ago.

Wasnt the whole idea that the Pats biggest draft need was QB and jones was so polished and ready?
Agreed!! The point I've been trying to make on this forum is every QB yes even tb12 needs a creative, innovative play caller.. Daboll a BB deciple is just that.. the rules, the way the game is officiated is all geared towards offense.. it's all tied in ratings, $$$ . Patricia and judge may very be excellent football minds.. however as a play caller you have to put players in position to be successful.. what happened to what's best for the team? KB not playing.. my feeling is just trade him rather then bench Macs purest playmaker.. just a strange season so far..

I scream like that when I stub a toe maybe you're a tough guy or maybe you're just an internet tough guy but it seemed like a large man awkwardly dragged him down and landed on him. Looked pretty painful to me regardless of how much damage it caused.
This is it.. Pain and damage are not related in any way. I get that people don't really get that.

I have had severe sprains, to where my foot turned black, and I was not carried screaming like that. Either he has zero pain tolerance or the team is lying about him playing.
That's not how pain works at all. Pain is not related to damage but is more closely associated with threat perception. You can have a significant injury and have 0 pain. I had a nasty hole in my leg and actually touched my tibia and felt 0 pain at any point but yesterday i knocked the coffee table with my shin and had to take a knee it was so painful.

When I was a teenager, I got tackled in a bad position and my ankle turned sideways. I couldn't put any weight on it and had to have a friend help me off the field. My ankle ballooned up to the size of a grapefruit and I was on crutches for 2 weeks. It hurt to sleep, never mind walk.

Funniest part of the story: the coach was screaming at me to stop being a pu#@% and get back out there. Me and my buddy, the one who helped me off the field, quit the team after that. My buddy was probably going to get cut anyway - he told the coach off right in his face for what he said.

Including the playoff game last year he has played 21 games and has thrown 20 interceptions.
Now, Jones has to step into his throws on a bad ankle or throw off his back foot.

Bills QB Joe Ferguson would get the crap beat out him and come back swinging. QB Joe Thiesman had a compound fracture with his leg bone sticking out of the skin. Laying on the field he told the NY Giants players "Ill be back" one Giant retorted "Not today you wont." Alex Smith got demolished. Have you seen his leg?

They would need to drive the Foxboro hearse out on the field if Mac took that kind of punishment.

Mac got pummelled at times early last year and took it. Even with this injury he took himself off the field hopping to the sideline. Also what does having your leg demolished prove other than you have a messed up leg?

This spy vs spy crap is reaching new levels of the absurd

I'm curious why it matters? Either it's spy vs. spy as you said, in which case it's probably not doing much to distract the Packers but also doesn't hurt the Pats at all and is just meaningless chatter. Or it's legit and there's a chance (probably very small) that Mac is a gametime decision. While we've overwhelmingly seen that if a player doesn't practice they don't play, there have been exceptions.

You’re just trolling at this point.
Says the guy who brought up hoyer’s record from EIGHT years ago to prove he’s not that bad? LOL

Uncle Rico could’ve won that high school championship game if only he wasn’t on the bench with his 7th high ankle sprain. Coach wouldn’t listen and just let him play!
I hope you don’t work in some type of management position at work.

You have not had 6 or 7 in your life.

No way.

BS.

Clearly, you don't know what one is.
Actually I do know. Off the top of my head I can think of at least 6. 2 during collegiate wrestling practices/matches, 1 during high school football getting tackled, 1 during drunk incident down the stairs, 1 while running at night stepped in pothole, 1 as a kid during baseball game stepping in drain in ground…all severe high ankle sprains.

They take months to heal, but in the moment no one screams like a little school girl. Stop defending him, only makes you look worse.

LOL so true

How many did Payton Manning throw his rookie season? Asking for a friend

I would much rather have Hoyer at 100% than MAC at 70%. For crying out loud, take a week or 2 and get back to 100%. Its not like MAC is TB12 or Josh Allen.
I actually think for a game or two Hoyer will be better. He knows the offense inside and out and can make the right audibles.

Never said that. I said normal people don’t act the way Mac did regarding a high ankle sprain. And besides the very small percentage of patsfans posters, the rest of the nation agrees
