What if... he actually plays this weekend? And every week? Take some painkillers and just power through? That'd take some balls... It's his non-plant leg so I guess I could see how it's possible, but he'd have a hard time with any kind of plays from under center... It'd need to be a lot of shotgun.

Would be funny if the reported impasse between him and the team isn't "Bill wants him back in 4 weeks and Mac wants to take 6", but instead "Bill wants him to take 4 weeks off but Mac says he's not missing a game." Went and got a second opinion to try to find a doctor who will tell him he can play this week.

I too want to see Mac follow the RGIII career trajectory.

I have had severe sprains, to where my foot turned black, and I was not carried screaming like that. Either he has zero pain tolerance or the team is lying about him playing.

People with this opinion should have to get a high ankle sprain just to make sure it's as painless as they think.
and a roundhouse kick to the testes.

Mac is a tough kid and it seems he has the support of the locker room. I think he would quickly lose that support if he wasn't tough.

We already saw what happens when the Patriots locker room has a different opinion of a QB. They're not long for the team. Ask JG.
Absolutely whole heartedly agree .. you can tell the way the players on Defense glowing comments on mac's toughness.. last I heard he's trying to play Sunday! If he does play.. this could catapult the season...

They're here because BB believes they can do the job.
Go look up the NFL rules.. when coaches that were in contracts get fired.. if and when they join another team and get NAMED a position coach that team has to pick up the salary.. if not then the FORMER team assumes said salary.. the relationship factor and the economical factor all played into it.. the lions and giants thought they could coach too. Still were better options than them.. Nick Caley, Billy o'Brien... just saying....

If he comes back in the next few weeks from this injury, especially this Sunday, he has some Tom Brady in him. We heard stories throughout the years that Brady would be so injured he couldn't even take his pads off himself. If Mac can play through this, he's got Brady's toughness.

That said though. I would rather have him not rush back. Unlike Brady, he is a young QB trying to become a good or great QB. No use risking his long term prospects by rushing back to the field and either re-injuring himself or develop bad habits from the injury.

Spot on!! Everything you stated is true and factual.. although we appreciate brady of course! and Everything he meant to the the franchise.. it's surreal just seeing him in another uniform..

Brady had the benefit of leaders like Troy brown, Damian woody , willie Mac, brushchi , ty law.. and so many others.. not saying this team is that.. but what impressed me is when you have your defensive leaders.. praising Macs toughness! That's what the defensive leaders said about brady his toughness!!!

I too would much rather him take his time, get right and don't rush back.. as you stated if he does somehow play that will definitely be telling!

Pffft. Who cares what a teammate says? Racervx54, a keyboard tough guy whom nobody on Patsfans.com has ever heard of says that Mac is a p*ssy.

That honestly sounds like Mac playing this weekend is seriously being considered. Kind of hard to believe.

It's chess vs checkers. Gamesmanship.

Mac is not playing Sunday because he is not practicing

Let's cool it with the insults. Not sure why you're on a rager. "I disagree" is an adequate response.
That time of the month?
