I think it's possible. That is a very interesting point. We all wondered why Belichick held the line on the contract and not franchising him. It also runs directly to the the timing of the decision to give Jimmy Garappolo away for nothing. Once that happened, Brady figured he could do whatever he wanted outside the organization.
What if Belichick had traded Brady to Miami for a a fistful of draft picks and just went with Jimmy G as his starter?
I didn't say how many did he win in GB. How many did he win for the Vikes? How many Superbowls did he win for GB? 1 compared to freaking 6!!!!
I hope someone sues the NFL just to bring it back out from underneath the rock they just attempted to bury it under. It only takes one or two people who had any type of Financial interest in the outcomes of the games.
My biggest question is, why did Brady want to go to the DOlphins of all teams? Was it because of Ross specifically, or did he just want to stick it to Belichick...my guess it's the latter.
I think it's possible.
After Flo got wind TB12 was gonna be on Ross's yacht he reached out to Bill and told him what was going down.
Then Bill tells Bob.
Bob takes it as a personally disloyal act but because of Tom's stature in the region, importance to the franchise and the politics involved with Bill he publicly says he wants Tom to stay but never really does anything to make it happen- which is exactly what happened.
My understanding is that "offer" was made after the 2021 season but I am not sure.I believe I read somewhere that Ross offered him a shot at a partial ownership percentage. That’s a hard thing to say no to.
And perhaps they contributed in turning him against the Patriots. Not at all. I'm not happy Brady spoke to anyone, but, we don't know the details of the conversations. What we do know is he didn't go to the Phins, so whatever they were pitching he wasn't buying. To be clear, whoever approached Brady he should have said I'll talk to you after the season.
I think you actually explained in your response why it was a bad look. Flores accused the Dolphins of using him as an Uncle Tom to meet a quota, and the moment the team was good again they’d dump him for another (presumably white) coach, and specifically Sean Payton. If the Dolphins actually sign Sean Payton and trade for Brady’s rights / sign him after Brady gets Tampa to release him from him contract, then it plays out exactly as Flores predicted ahead of time - potentially adding legitimacy to his claim in the public’s eye. Instead, the Dolphins stop all pursuit of both…. And then they hire a mixed-race coach who looks white, such that the Dolphins then publicly exclaim that it’s someone of color. Which has the impact of deflating Flores’ claims since they replaced him with another person of color. I think it’s pretty clear that the Flores situation made the Dolphins change their plans. Should they have? That’s a different question, but it’s quite clear that they did.I still don't see how this is a bad look. They wanted to move on, which they did and hired a new coach anyways. Speaking of the new coach, I like how they emphasized their new hired coach was someone of color. Many people would've never known if it wasn't mentioned.
12-4 season isn't tanking and was a defensive stop away from getting a bye
Cleared? What a whopper of a lie!
We don't know Brady's contract demands and whether he and the agent were plotting his departure. We do know he stunk the last 6 games in NE, they might have been better off starting Hoyer who was at least trying to win. Did he tank the Titan's PO game because he wanted to be gone?
I mean James White was the leading receiver in both those games.See the last 6 games particularly the Dolphins season finale and the Titans PO game. He stunk.
