NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION NFL Week 18 and Playoff Scenarios

I think with Henry we have to respect the run, which I don't think Bill did in the last meeting. We made Tannehill try to beat us in the air and he couldn't do it. This time I can't see Bill letting Henry run lose.
Right. Totally different game plan. Because of different strengths.

Best news ever about the Bengals. Just gotta hope the Browns don't roll over once again. Bengals likely won't have Burrow and Mixon and their resting other starters. Good way to avoid the Bills and possibly play the Bengals first round. Much rather them over the Bills.
You gotta play whoever shows. If you are fearing a first round matchup you are screwed any way. In this example fearing a 1st round game with the bengals (imagine that) means you have to face them or a team that beat them later.

So NE at Buffalo? If so it will be good to see how NE responds.

Buffalo fans are very confident that the Bills would beat the Pats in a rematch. The only teams they would rather play are the Raiders or Chargers.

While it’s entirely reasonable to think the bengals beat the browns, here’s the playoff picture if all favorites win.

So if KC beats SD at home (likely) and Pats and Indy advance (less likely), it would be Indy @ Ten and NE @ KC in the divisional round. If Indy and NE advance, the AFCCG will be @ Gillette (revenge game).

The Jets game could very well be a trap game for them. Somewhat impressed with the jets pushing tampa last week to the brink. If the Pats win and Jets lose, that would drop the Bills to the 7th lol.

No I agree 100%. Not fearing the Bengals, would rather face them over Allen and the Bills. I just wanna see us have the best chance to get Mac a playoff win under his belt.

I want 4.

I don't recommend watching the Donks today. That offense is as putrid as they get.

Rookie RB is really good. They have a good group of receivers and a decent OL.
They need to clean house in the coaching staff. Worst coached offense in the NFL that doesn’t play it’s home games in NJ.

Agreed. I don't think Fangio gets fired though. He hasn't had QB that can play in his tenure. Maybe Wilson or Watson next season.

I see no reason to keep him. He was a shaky hire to begin with based upon his resume and accomplishments and hasn’t accomplished anything. 3 losing season and a combined 19-30.
Absolving a HC because his OC sucks is unrealistic, it’s his team.

Looks like the game will be on in the BOS media market as the FOX early game:

In summation, for the BOS market:

NATIONAL BROADCASTS
  • Saturday 4:30 ET: Kansas City @ Denver (ESPN/ABC; Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit)
  • Saturday 8:15 ET: Dallas @ Philadelphia (ESPN/ABC; Steve Levy, Brian Griese, Louis Riddick)
  • Sunday Night: LA Chargers @ Las Vegas (NBC)
FOX EARLY: Cincinnati @ Cleveland, Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma
CBS EARLY: Pittsburgh @ Baltimore, Ian Eagle, Charles Davis
FOX LATE: San Francisco @ LA Rams, Joe Buck, Troy Aikman
CBS LATE: New England @ Miami, Spero Dedes, Jay Feely

Jesus, that's a lot of damn football! Bring it on!
All seven of these games are over-the-air and have shown up on my DVR's To-Do list.

This weekend and next will be wild, then we're gonna have the better playoff matchups, then the SB, then cold turkey.

Ideal situation for tomorrow:
Win of course
Titans win (very likely)
Colts win (very likely)
Chargers win (likely but who knows there)
Jets win (very unlikely)

We'd be the 3rd seed hosting the Chargers. Have Buffalo beat KC rd 1 (somewhat likely IMO). Our path to the AFCC would be home wins against Chargers and winner of Cincy/Indy. Potentially 2 matchups of BB vs young qb/ young coach duos in foxboro if cinncy were to beat indy. The only real big obstacle to that obviously is needing jets to beat buffalo.

If the Titans lose (and everything else is the same) we would then be the 2 seed
