NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION NFL Week 18 and Playoff Scenarios

I think we’re on to Cincinnati.

but if not Buffy is same-same.

Both are 50-50 games. Pats CAN beat either but could easily lose if they don’t bring the A game.

And of course the Covid joker could flip any odds. that is why bb preaches one game at a time. Don’t get ahead of yourself

I honestly and seriously hope that the Kans-ass Sh!tty Queefs team flight crashes into Pike’s Peak on its way to Denver, with only the flight crew as survivors. That would be so ****ing cool…

Plan B from outer space: Go Donkeys!

KC and Dallas awarded an extra day of playoff prep and rest. Interesting.
Unless one or both plays in the Saturday slots on WC weekend. It would make sense.

Pats will probably know by kickoff whether the 1 seed is still in play. KC and TEN both play before our game.

Are the browns still favored over cincy next week?? LOL if so
DraftKings has a lower number, but the Vegas casinos still have Cleveland favored. I guess because the oddsmakers are assuming the Bengals will rest as many starters as possible, to try to avoid injury? The line is baffling.

A Chargers/Raiders tie would be interesting
Yes, the 2021 season will end with a playoff play-in game between the Chargers and Raiders. Unless it doesn’t.

There’s one specific scenario that gets both participants in the Week 18 Sunday night game into the postseason field. And it’s not all that complicated.

As above, NFL made that the Sunday Night game, so all other outcomes will be known when they kick off.

I wonder exactly how the agreement to tie will be brokered? :D
Oh how I would pee myself! "Collusion ZOMG ZOMG!" :haha:

I don't see the Browns winning that game, even at home. I don't have a lot of faith in Baker Mayfield.
And in spite of that I took the Browns on MNF for my 4th loss. WTF was I thinking?

On the other end of the spectrum there is Jacksonville, an unstoppable runaway freight train with 8 consecutive losses, passing Detroit and seeking to maintain that slim half-game margin to become back-to-back Toilet Bowl champions and owners of the first pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Interesting to note that thanks to trades, the Giants and Jets will both own two top-ten draft picks, and that Philadelphia has three first round picks. As of this moment the Pats are at #23. Pittsburgh, with Mason Crosby as their top QB, enters with only the #17 draft pick.

FWIW, 538 has the super bowl as Packers over Chiefs...with GB having a 27% chance to get to the Super Bowl and the Chiefs 19%.

Unlikely funny scenario: Steelers win and jags beat indy. The chargers and raiders then play Sunday night, loser would miss playoffs but both would get in with a tie. Can you imagine both teams striking a deal and kneeling for 5 quarters to both get in lol

Oooph. We'd probably be docked a couple first rounders if they did that

Thanks for the tip ( ESPN.com's 2021 NFL Playoff Machine - Simulate Matchups and Scenarios ).

Personally I think the Bengals will beat the Browns which (along with other predictions) moves them up to #3 and we end up with BUF #4 playing NE #5.

How dare you think of your selfish desire for competitive football!

These days it's all about the NFL owners making more money for themselves.
Yeah, it looks like the Browns will no longer be favored. Baker out, plus the browns sucking last night. Still possible though. Bengals also just placed some key players on Covid list.

I’d say at this point bills is probably looking the most likely.
