OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Absolutely DUMB call by genius OC Leftsandwich to go to the well repeatedly on the screen. Dumb throw by Brady too.

I don't disagree with your assessment. I do wonder, though, if Brady saw the defender. It looked like he might have been in line between the pass rush and Fournette when Brady let the ball go. So I wonder whether it was brain lock or failure to account.

Brady gonna add to his crazy record of wins when throwing over 45 passes

Godwin had a remarkable game today!

That was a good win. The defense really played well. They have started to come on the last few weeks now that the secondary is getting back together.

It's a shame that they had that pick 6 at the end of the first half because the defense only let up 10 points and even though they let up the run early on they stopped it the rest of the game and then sacked Matt Ryan a bunch of times. They're going to need to play like that for this team to have a chance in the postseason.

What can you say about Brady? He is playing like a savant. He is by far the best quarterback in football this season, he just calmly manages the game, makes the big plays when he needs to, goes long, goes short, stresses the defense. It is really special to watch him play especially at this age.

He really improved his MVP odds with this win he is now at 34 touchdown passes. Rodgers only has 23 and is on the bye. Allen is going to have a tough time catching him given he has to play the pats tomorrow and then go to Tampa. Brady should be able to wrap this thing up in the next few weeks.

Godwin's like the new Julian Edelman except more athletic.

Make no mistake, it's Brady's accuracy that allows receivers to pile up those gaudy catch stats. I mean I believe those 15 catches by Godwin is a new franchise record for the Bucs.

Brady over 360 yards and 4 passing TDs. He could well win the MVP again at this pace. Bucs have the #1 scoring offense in the NFL.

And Brady continues to show us he was dipped in the fountain of youth as he is performing still at a very ELITE level. Bucs get another win.

The only question is - how do the Bucs matchup with the Cardinals in the playoffs. I think they are a scarier team than the Cowboys because of their QB's versatility.

How about all the publicity Duron Harmon got in that game? If he wasn't Brady's teammate in New England he probably doesn't get mentioned at all. It is good to have played with Tom Brady. Lol

Godwin was a beast. But you are so right. Brady is what makes the slot position so special.

I actually like the Bucs versus the Cardinals because their defense does well against running quarterbacks. They're able to get after them and force them into bad throws.

I think the two teams that might be more difficult for them from a matchups standpoint would most likely be the Packers and believe it or not the Washington football team. I really hope they don't end up making it into the playoffs as a wild card and Tampa has to face them early on like they did last year. I don't really fear the Rams anymore because I think Stafford is playing very average to below average right now and if the Bucs defense continues to play well in the secondary then I think they can handle the Rams especially if the game is in Tampa.

SMB, Gholston and maybe Winfield all injured because Matt “garbage time” Ryan

Well it's for a good cause. All those fancy shoes are supporting various charities for kids and the disabled. Getting extra publicity for a good cause, I can get behind. Harmon was a good contributor in his time in New England.

Bucs are looking STACKED though. I feel like they have a real chance to get back to the Superbowl.

Dream scenario would be Mac Jones vs Brady in the final playoff game of the year. But the Pats have got to take care of business against the Bills and Colts first before we can even consider that as a real possibility.

Cardinals, Cowboys, and Packers are still hanging out though and looking like strong contenders in the NFC.

Question is can anyone stop Brady once he gets into the playoffs? Regular season Tom is already great. But Postseason Tom is downright SCARY for anybody to face, just ask Patrick Mahomes!!

It's going to be hillarious watching the #7 NFC seed bumble into the playoffs. Maybe the #6 seed too.

It will be a comedy of blunders as all these pretenders take the lead briefly before losing to crap teams the next week.

It's absolutely not true. Everything is about media and reacting to media and looking good to media. If they cut AB they have lost their minds. He will be claimed instantly by the next contender.
Yeah just imagine what AB would do for the Chiefs. No way they’re cutting him

I’m actually starting to wonder for the first time if it’s us. Loooong way to go though. Let’s see what happens in the next few weeks first. That will tell us a lot.

Is it just me or do the falcons kind of remind you of the cowboys? They always seem to make at least four or five head scratching mistakes every game to make sure they can't win or have a chance to win. There they are at the one yard line first and goal and they get a penalty on the Bucs so they have three more plays and then Matt Ryan fumbles the snap and they have to kick a field goal. They just seem like a team that kind of teases you the way that the cowboys do. They do just enough to make sure they lose. Lol

AB is not getting cut for one simple reason - he and Brady are tight. Brady freaking let the man stay over at his house just to get settled in. I don't think AB has ever forgotten that and they share a close bond that also pays off on the football field. PFF is just generating some click bait for extra views. I don't believe everything that comes out of Florio's mouth or on his website.

Brady 'the GM' has been just as remarkable as Lebron 'the GM'. He has gathered his hand picked crew and Bruce Arians is not gonna mess with that chemistry. He's a smart man who just wants to win and that head coach actually trusts Tom a lot more than BB ever showed in Tom's two decades in New England.
