I don't remember anyone saying that...the Patriots are well known for red-shirting running backs with Sony Michel being an exception, but he was a first round pick. They also red-shirted Vereen and White. This isn't comparable at all to two tight ends not playing despite the team having absolutely zilch for other options and then spending huge bucks in the offseason to bring in veterans.

Must admit that I would not be quite ready to eject Asiasi. But it is a bad sign when Lacosse was played before him. I would still give Asiasi a chance. Not so sure about Keene though but that is just a feeling rather than based on knowledge.

Can't deny Graham's blocking proficiency.....but....if BB used a mid 1st round draft pick in recent years to draft a blocking TE, this board would melt down
Note: Board crucified Jonnu Smith's NE stats/gm are identical to Grahams....2.2 catches, 21 yds, 0.1 TDs (blocking a different story)
Recent comparison: N'Keal Harry....essentially a 1st round blocking WR though N'Keal took 3 years to find his niche

Can't deny Graham's athleticism and threat level, yet this TE's stats show either an underutilized asset while a Patriot or an overvalued NFL TE given his draft position, stats, and reputation.
Note: Less of an athlete Hunter Henry is averaging 3 catches, 34 yds, and 0.64 TDs

But, the pass catching stats for both are underwhelming and it is understandable why BB let Graham move on after his rookie contract expired.
Watson's 14 year NFL career validates his draft slot more than his NE production, IMHO

Three bums, including Anfernee Jennings...

At TE, the two obvious BPAs there were Adam Trautman & Harrison Bryant... Should've been obvious to Bill & Nicky too; even to Nike.

At LB, I would've taken Malik Harrison or the rangier Troy Dye ahead of Jennings... Heck even Useless Uche might've still been available here; that's where his true value was anyway, as I never, Ever considered him a late 2nd/early 3rd-round dude, ESPECIALLY in a trade-UP situation... That was completely unnecessary for somebody like him.

At WR, my Inside guy would've been Devin Duvernay and my Outside guy Gabriel Davis.

On the OL, my OT would've been Lucas Niang and my C/G Tyler Bad-ass Biadasz.

At DT, my 3-Tech would've been Jordan Elliot and my 0/1-Tech Leki Fotu.

There really wasn't a DE I liked at the end of the 3rd round, but I thought that Jonathan Greenard was the best of what was left.

At CB, my Outside guy would've been Cameron Dantzler or Troy Pride, and my Inside guy Amik Robertson.

Probably wouldn't have looked for a Safety here; but if I had, I would've taken Terrell Burgess.

Both TE’s are good prospects with time to learn and grow behind Henry and Smith. TE is one of the toughest positions for rookies to transition to the pros. People calling them busts already are misanthropic know nothings.

A draft should be graded as a whole and not just the individual pick.

It certainly wasn't a draft like 2021, but I am happy with this draft despite the obviously failed third round.
