Wonder if Schefter knows something here (as in, he’s speaking on behalf of OBJ’s agent).

that clown talk immediate revenge dude isn’t gonna practice one week and show up on the field

This!!!

Beckham would go off the rails if the Pats signed him, he would be all in for a few days and then have some sort of meltdown. He just doesn't have the mental stability to handle it.

passing offense needs him if they are to make a playoff run. need that guy on the outside drawing a safety so the middle opens up for Meyers, Henry and Smith

Florio reports the “teams to watch out for” if Beckham clears waivers are the Seattle Seahawks, the San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints, and Pete Carroll’s team reportedly sits atop the wish list.

Odell Beckham Jr. Rumors: Wideout Prefers To Sign With This Team
NO has no qb, not really an enticing destination. Seattle yeah with Russ but he’s injured not sure when he’s supposed to be back, SF Jimmy G and Shanahan I dunno doesn’t seem like an exciting team to join mid season.

Mike Florio: look out for Seahawks, 49ers, and Saints to show interest in OBJ. OBJ prefers Seahawks...

This makes no sense. Wilson is out and who knows when he will be back and whether he will be good with his finger. The Saints are in back up QB mode for the season. And the 49ers QB situation is a quagmire. Odds are OBJ will be playing on an one year contract to try to rehab his career and make a splash in free agency. These are three bad teams to do that.

I am not saying the Pats are the best place for him to go either. But If I am Beckham, I am going to a playoff caliber team that will display my talents and has a good QB. I don't know if the Seahawks, 49ers, and Saints are that place.

They could use someone like him, but someone physically and mentally able to stay on the field, someone who embraces team culture, someone whose dad doesn't post choreographed montages of him allegedly being done over by his co-workers, etc.

He's not a short term rental, we have no rent money so he'd have to go onto the credit card at eye watering interest rates, so that 'rent' would bleed into future years.

I really doubt we see him here.

With all the negative talk here.......

if the Pats sign Beckham will the board be flooded with Super Bowl predictions?
No, Tom Brady is still in Tampa.

He's absolutely a short-term cheap rental until he proves on the field that he can still play and is not a freelancing basket-case. He has every incentive to come here (or someplace similar) on a cheap contract and perform well, thus ensuring a good contract next year.

I think we're in agreement. I'm saying he's not a short term rental for us because we don't have rent money now, and we wouldn't borrow rent money from next year just to sign him.

As a unit, our WRs average 11 catches for 140yds and less than .5 TDs per game.

As an offense we average 24ppg.

Do people think that is good enough?

Ask me after the season with the benefit of hindsight about the offense and adding OBJ, and I’ll have an answer. Right now, it’s very obvious what that answer is, and I’ll be sure to reiterate that later on.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. If cheap, I suppose so. I do think his skills have eroded. It's unclear whether his douchebaggerie (a French expression) is yet under control. So I'm interested but wary, and strongly inclined to parsimony.

Need to wait another day.

Agholor had zero receptions Sunday and it is increasingly clear that the coaching staff is still trying to figure out how to harness his playmaking abilities. The same could be said for Smith. Mac needs better targets even with everyone healthy. The productivity from the passing game is not where it needs to be. Any way to upgrade should be considered.
