Dolphins Agree to Terms with Texans for Watson - Pending two key details...

Technically speaking Watson isn't even suspended at the moment, right?

Bill had better figure out how to beat this guy. Watson is a dynamic player. Higher ceiling than Allen IMO. I still think there is a chance he plays this season. Settle out of court. Says he is sorry. Suits up week 18 to knock the Pats out of the playoffs....

Correct, the Texans are paying him not to play, making him inactive each week and not letting him practice. They can't put him on IR (because he isn't injured) and they can't suspend him without starting a fight with the players union. The League has stated that they have not made a ruling on any possible suspension because he isn't playing.

In college Tua had a hellva strong arm, he consistently threw 40-50 yards in the air.

I just don't think Miami coaches are setting him up to succeed.
Here is some of his best throws of 2018

Certainly early in college he had plenty of zip. I’m sure you remember like I do the way he could scramble around and flick his wrist and the football would could out like a shot. There was a point before his injuries where he was truly considered a generational QB prospect: TheRingerOnTua. That said, it is fair to wonder if injuries (especially that horrible hip injury) have robbed him of something. Perhaps it is only temporarily and at some point he will shed the injury bug, especially if he gets in an offense that protects him like the NO offense protected Brees (who early on had his own serious injury history, leading Saban to famously pass on him with the Fins, which begat Saban to Alabama) ;)

….I’m still glad we have Mac, he has looked fantastic and so far has been remarkably injury free :)

Just for the record, you know Saban wanted Brees, it was the front office that wouldn't let him sign him due to the fact he didn't pass his physical.

Thank you Sweet 7oz Baby Jesus!

Deshaun Watson has had one really good season under his belt. Other than that, his stats are above average. Don't get me wrong, he's a very good QB, but he's not elite IMO.

I'm reading Bears fans on twitter chirping about Mac. LOL. They sound insecure about their own QB.

Two completely different QBs in two completely different systems. If BB traded a high pick to move up for Fields he should have been fired immediately.
I would have been happy in the moment with that, but it seems right now like we made the absolute best possible decision by not trading up at all and getting what appears to be the best QB of the draft (at least the most developed out of college).

It's still perfectly reasonable to think Fields might eventually turn into a better QB than Jones, but it just irks me how the main criticism of Mac from opposing fans is based on something that just isn't true (the OL being as good as it was in recent past years).

Yeah. I don't think the Pats are getting the national spotlight as much these days for obvious reasons.

Look at the AB situation. He was out for how long? Watson is not playing this year.

Told you so.

You did?!? Seem I am right that there is too many unknowns to trade for the guy. You were the one who said Ross would have a good idea of what the outcome of the legal cases are and what Goodell would hand down as a punishment. I said there are way too many variables to know that. This report confirms my statement. Ross knows nothing.

So I told you so. Why in the hell are you taking a victory lap when you were wrong.

I said IF ROSS TRADED FOR WATSON BEFORE THINGS WERE RESOLVED that he was doing it blindly. Didn’t say he would.

Doesn't this torpedo any locker room confidence in Tua down in Miami? Tua's seemed like a guy who might be shaken by that... Plus, Flores has been saying "Tua is our guy" over and over for weeks. Apparently he isn't. Does that mess up his relationship with his players too? It all seems like a huge distraction for them.

Trade for him and dress him to force the NFL's hand. This in between move the NFL has been using with him and AB is ridiculous. Either suspend him or don't. If he's later found guilty in a criminal charge he'll be locked up or suspend him then. The rest? If he whipped it out and that's basically it then let the girls try and get paid and let him play.

I have to believe that the Miami players know that Tua is a bust.

The bottom line is winning and winning brings more money to everyone.

A shining beacon of positivity and hope.

Agreed - is Flores already writing his own note on a napkin?
