BTW I live in Alaska. Guns are a way of life up here. Had a black bear in my yard this spring and a grizzly walked through last summer. I live 11 miles out of town. I don't work out in the yard w/o a gun handy.
Alaska recently passed a law that they will not adhere to any federally mandated gun restrictions/buy backs. We'll see how that goes when the Feds withhold funding.
Won an AK-47 in an NRA gun raffle. They are stamped metal POS's.
Traded it for a NIB shotgun (SS Mossberg Mariner) from someone who also had won it in a gun raffle, sold that, and used the money to purchase a vintage Weatherby.
Like I said, guns are a way of life up here.
They are a tool. Nothing more, nothing less.
I also have a friend that is a complete gun nut. He has all the federal permits to sell guns and supressors, and own fully automatic weapons. I hear he has many. The Feds inspect his collection annually. What do 50 caliber rounds go for..$2/ea? He said you can burn through a lot of money in short order shooting them.
Excuse the OT rambling. Procrastinating on finishing the handrail on a new deck.
