I hope we draft a WR next. Still a bit thin at the position. Maybe trade a third or fourth for Julio Jones. Whaerever he goes the Falcons are going to have to eat a good chunk of his salary. So money shouldn't be an issue.

Was watching a draft special after the Pats' pick. Curran and his guest claimed that Mac Jones has a MacEnroe level temper when things don't go his way on the field. And he already has a DUI under his belt. So not a great decision maker

Maybe this will be like the Jaylen Brown draft for the Celtics. I was really disappointed because I wanted Buddy Hield. This wasn't true early on, but I think Brown is the better player now. He's my favorite Celtic. Hell, he's probably the only player I like.

I just don't think this kid has the potential to ever be anything more than an above average QB. Top 15, maybe. Hope I am wrong.

I think we got the steal of the draft . I think jones will be the second best QB in this draft. I really feel strongly about this. Just give him protection and the playmakers have to do their job.

Some good talent felt in this draft. Still some good talent in the second round.

I like the kid from lsu Marshall. I think he’s very underrated. He was doing his thing without chase on the other side.

Nailed the first 8 and had picks like Collins to the Cards, Jasmin Davis to Redskins, Paye to Colts, Harris to Steelers, Newsom to the Browns, Owen to Ravens and Stokes to the Packers.

He correctly predicted just one shy of half of the picks. Amazing.

I hope you are right. Once the emotions of losing out on Fields wear off I will be fair. It's not like I am rooting for him to be mediocre or bad. If he can just be a top ten level QB I think we have a steal and can win SuperBowls with the right team around him. What scares me the most is that he turns out to be a little above average. One of the TV hosts brought this up tonight. Think Goff. Decent QB, yiu are happy with him on the rookie contract. but he never becomes good enough to win, to elevate the guys around him. Now in year four or five we have a disaster on our hands- pay a boatload of money to a goodl but not great QB or let him walk for nothing. Fields felt like more of a boom or bust prospect.

In Alabama circles the part about the temper was considered somewhat of a positive because it was a freshman characteristic (frankly one of his biggest problems at that stage) that he seemed to completely overcome later on, he worked studiously on it. By the time he was a starter his poise was really one of his greatest strengths.

How is this a negative. Brady threw temper tantrums when he lost in video games. He trashed a bat when he kept falling in the draft. A guy who is ultra competitive is a good thing.
