Deshaun Watson accused of sexual assault in lawsuit

The details are very disturbing to say the least.

We'll see how this all plays out but Buzbee's picture should be in Webster's dictionary next to "scum sucking bottom feeder".

This has not made the morning news here in Denver. The Krafty Productions filming "incident" did make the local news here several times. Think about that for a second.

Still waiting for even the slightest bit of damning evidence. Anything! A grainy video. A bad text message. Some account from a reliable source...

In the meantime it's a money grab and smear attempt by a big Texan fan imo.

Just seems foolish to ignore the the only facts we know now.
1. Watson is at a very vulnerable spot in his career.
2. Texan fans must be pissed he wants nothing to do with them.
3. The lawyer is a huge Texan fan.
4. The lawyer's first "evidence" dump was laughable and actually helps prove Watson is a polite respectable guy.

Jesus he makes Cuomo look like a saint.

Well, as far as we know, Watson didn't make any decisions that led to unnecessary Covid deaths in nursing homes and then tried to cover that up. It is only Monday, though, so maybe those accusations are coming. ;)

I agree we should give Watson a chance to defend himself, but 9 people coming forward with lawsuits so far suggests a pattern. It's possible that the attorney recruited these women for a money grab scheme, but it doesn't look good for him. One person, yes, it's possible she was making it up. 9? If they are falsely accusing him, they stand to lose a lot if Watson countersues them for defamation.

I'm still waiting for the evidence on Cuomo, Kavanaugh and Bill Cosby too...all those were her word against his sort of things too...

doesn't make them not true. Its just because Deshaun Watson is a talented player people want to dismiss it IMO

Agree but we better stop it here.

There wouldn't be any video unless there was illegal recordings going on.

I highly doubt a rich lawyer would risk his license and business just to smear a QB on a football team.

1-3 woman might be a money grab, but you are telling me 12-22+ woman who have licensed careers would risk their lively hood for a quick cash grab?

The most logical conclusion is Watson has some fetish towards getting happy endings and it has caught up to him.

I doubt Watson would go after the "victims". Likely would just prefer it goes away.

Imagine though if we decide as a society that this is all it takes to ruin a guy. In the NFL world players would lose all power. They'd know the owner or vindictive fans could easily ruin them.

Kavvy is on SCOTUS.
Cuomo still ongoing.

Cosby? OK I didn't follow that much, but I remember like the whole industry knowing his pattern of drugging women. Pretty different.

I disagree.

I doubt the lawyer or women face any consequences. Especially in a civil matter.

Again I'm not saying DW is innocent no matter what. All I know are the facts I listed above and that leads me to lean towards DW now.
Meaning as of now, there's ZERO effect on his career.

It's only "accepted" by dolts who are not acquainted with the concept of accountability.
What are you talking about? You think that people in general and particularly athletes who were pampered and coddled are accountable?
That’s exactly the problem, they act how they act because they lack accountability.

So if you commit a crime and there are no cameras it never happened?

So all it takes to be a sexual predator is to do it without witnesses and bam you are free?

1 person coming forth with only their word shouldn't be enough without evidence to back it up. 20+ woman, that have no connection to each other, is pretty damning.

Remember these woman are working professionals that put themselves through school to have a decent paying career.

The payout they get could be less than they make a year. Why would they jeopardize their career to do that?

PS my sister in law is a masseuse and has had a male client request a happy ending. It's an unpleasant part of the job and no working professional should be requested such a thing.

Yeah, these guys mostly are coddled and pampered since high school to be recruited to colleges. You have seen the lawsuits. Some of them get women, drugs, whatever they want.

Then at the colleges anything they do is wiped clean and hidden so they can keep winning.

By the time they get to the NFL alot of these guys know no accountability.

There is plenty to risk.

Would you go to a professional masseuse if they have falsely accused a male client of sexual assault? There would certainly be actions taken against their license as well for that behavior.

If this is some scheme being cooked by the lawyer, evidence would be their and conspiracy to defame would definitely be a legal matter and grounds for being removed from the Bar

Could be 450 claims. # doesn't matter imo.

Have SOME, or ANY evidence. Or at least don't have a Texan fan be the lawyer at the most opportune time to hurt DW.

Just seems like common sense to me at this particular point in time.
