Brady's dad claims Bill may be "On the hot seat"

I this era with all these young QBs and chicken **** passing rules Bill knows he needs to put an offense on the field that CAN score 35 if it needs to.
In the KC game, KC offense scored 19 points and gained 330 yards. They had the pick 6 off Jules hands. They scored 6 points thru 3 quarters.

In the first three weeks, we scored 21/30/39 points.

The point being made and numbnuts wasn't grasping, is we have reached saturation point on contracts for franchise QB's and paying "weapons".

This is how we wind up with Goff, Wentz, Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Zeke, Dak, OBJ, Brees, and A Rod.

Absent what we saw in these playoffs with end of half defensive debacles, horrendous clock management, shanked punts, BAD interceptions and fumbles, personnel fouls, lining up offsides on field goals, defensive pass interference; just how many points are scored on long sustained drives that required complete execution.?

20M is chump change next to the increase in book value of the team and it's assets.

One thing you can never deny.......none of this happens unless Kraft signs BB......none of it
There’s a difference between book value and money actually paid. Unless Kraft sells he’ll never see that book value. What he does see his his yearly profit, and that profit would look about $15m healthier if he was paying the coach a lot less.

I think BB has incredible foresight , more than people give him credit for. They changed the offense from 2006 to 2007 and then again in 2011 based on the rules and how the plyers were emerging. I dont think he is like some joe gibbs who might just stick with his style.

Not to mention that the team basically already rebuilt on the fly several times while Brady was younger and able to keep the team at least in contending status. It just seems like Brady got fed up with trying to train up the younger players at this period of time in the Patriots' system, by the way he was behaving the last few years. Which is, honestly, understandable because Brady hasn't got that kind of time left to wait for the Patriots to get that sort of talent around him again.

(Edit: That said, I think things would have been very different if Gronkowski and Brown had been around last year. Having Gronk retired and Brown unable to STOP TEXTING and Gordon being unable to break his addictions... that was sort of a whole mess of screwed up receiving plans...)
This. 100% this. No way brady has the time and patience to teach some rookies how to run routes especially when he doesnt have anyone else he can trust like gronk. If gordon, sanu and brown had panned out it might be different.

At least when the products sucks I can acknowledge it and I can identify who's accountable. You just want to make excuses and wave your Patriots flag... COVID, opt-outs, the cap etc. all excuses. Every team in the NFL dealt with the same issues. COVID has effected everyone. Every team had opt-outs... that the Patriots had the most probably says something about what the players thought of the team. Every team has to operate under the same cap rules.

You understand your hero sent the single most successful player in the history of the league packing? Got nothing in return and had no replacement. But you stick with IBWT.
so what is your take now ? fire bb, hire leftwich and let him build this team for committing this "sin" ? Would you have been happier if brady stayed , pats finished 11-5 and out in the playoffs and KC winning another championship? or Rodgers? And then dump on brady for pouting on the sidelines like people were doing last yr. ?

Yep.

He also saw the end coming.

I think if you tied BB up with a golden rope hed say they had a 10% chance of winning the SB in 2019 and if Tom came back in 2020 a 1% chance.

It's kinda like my car which has heated leather seats. There are 3 settings.

Right now Bill is on setting one. A crap 2021 he is on 2. A 3-13 2021 his is on 3.
I'm surprised you think he's on setting one. This could be an important off season with him having $60M to spend. If he whiffs on some worthy talent not related to money, that could be an issue. And they could be worse than last year. I still envision an exodus of more veteran players as Ninkavich predicted last off season (Edelman, White, and Gilmore to name a few).

I think it's reality. I know the board thinks I sniff BBs undies for fun but it's a results-based profession with a short memory.

BB needs to win or else he's out.

That...and drafting Kneal Harry instead of AJ Brown...Glitch Richards instead of Tyler Lockett...Aaron Dropson instead of Keenan Allen...Marvin Jones instead of trading for OchoStinko...Golden Tate instead of Germy Cunnyham...

Is that the same Joe Gibbs who won 3 championships...with Three different QBs?

Brown would've panned out if the Early Bird had been more patient.

Yes but it was very similar styles then and no salary cap. You have to admit the styles have changed vastly over the last 20 yrs.

panthers sold for 2.2B in 2018.....that year, their 'book' according to forbes was 2.5B....so yeah, there's a difference, but not one you could make an argument with.

don't forget, Kraft allowed BB to let Brady walk....he could have stepped in. Fact is, he knows none of it would have happened without Bill

and he believed he was at the end of the line with the team and Brady as a QB.........I think that reality came when Gordon and Brown crashed and burned.....probably threw up his hands and said 'well, that's that'
