So a redshirt year is anyway almost certain if we draft one. Do you think he can fix that to an nfl level? i mean short intermediate is important in our offense isn't it.He needs to work on his decision making, mechanics and protecting himself when on the run. Mechanics are sweet and smooth on deep stuff but he still has some stuff to clean up on short/intermediate passes. Those are the two most important concerns but again he leaves himself open to too many hits.
Yeah totally, esp some teams in the end of first with aging qb or teams who are picking early second and don't want to draft a qb with their first pickHe'll lock onto some targets, think he can throw it through some defenders, will get fooled occasionally but honestly you could say that about Wilson, Lance and Fields as well. Ridder just seems to have a less market value but when you watch the class the QB2 spot is a lot closer than people say. He'll likely grade out as a second rounder for me but position value could bump him up. Ideally we get him after 32 but the demand for QBS is outrageous. Half the league is looking for one.
Thank you this provides a good overviewPlus Ridder's strengths and +'s are really good. His arm is unreal. I mean it's special. And he's a winner. I hate using QB wins as a stat but after a while there's something to a guy at the most important position not messing it up. Ridder has won in a tough conference and is tough himself. Well spoken but tough kid. I think teams like seeing guys like him work for things. Have to fight, overcome obstacles. Intangibles matter more there and he has them.
Did he had significant injuries? i remember reading about Wilsons injuries yesterday esp on his throwing shoulder
