How to lose to the Jets in week 17

Which game did he lose intentionally? 2005 week 17 is the only borderline one i could think of but again very borderline to assume he lost anthing intentionally.

Let's just say he definitely didn't mind losing that one

There was also a game where BB kept Butler on the bench even though the D was getting annihilated. I forget which game that was though.

Can we say that the Rams have given the NFL the blueprint to a Jet's win?

No, it doesn’t at all.

Lol yeah it blows it completely out of the water. All non pro sports get recruits to come to their program by WINNING. Thats it. They HAVE to win in order to be viable to get kids to come there.

I just saw your other response. I despise losing however as people who are smart of know that in the NFL, purgatory, isn't where you want to live. Like, say 8-8 or 7-9, which is precisely where the Patriots are at right now. You may like to root for treadmill teams, I don't. You'll be whining in a few years when the only team without a young stud QB is the Pats, unless they get extremely lucky.

Hell, even in combat, of which I assume you have never seen, sometimes a "loss" is acceptable if it leads to a greater victory. I would have expected BB and his Naval history background to understand that concept.

poor personnel choice, thats far from losing intentionally

Damn I would be lying if I said I don’t want to throw the Jets game to ensure they don’t get Lawrence. Forget everything I said before now, Cam is staying the starter til end of season!

Yup. Hitorically the worst place to be is in that 6 to 9 win spot. Hard to climb out of it.

The jets now know the feeling of a win that feels like a loss.

The same feeling the pats have when they only win the games against them by 3.

Hahaha

This year may (hopefully) be the exception to that. Lots of cap room and other teams will have to let go of some really good players that ought to get a look.

Lawrence is going to be praying the Jets beat us in two weeks.

Jacksonville is looking much better to him than the Jersey dump!!!!!

Jets would never trade the #1 pick to us.

Jax might if the Pats don’t mind offering an arm and a leg. I think this team has way more issues than only QB though.

You argue as if losing is the cool thing to do and you have to have a reason not to. A football team has a culture. Professionsl athletes are playing for their career every time they take the field. A football player who gives less than 100% risks career threatening injury. No player will accept losing on purpose because competitive athletes are not built that way. When you introduce losing into a team culture and consider it acceptable or in your case preferred you are done.
This is why there are exactly zero cases of it happening.
That is why you don’t say no I played competitive teams sports because I know you didn’t because you would understand these things.

Far, far more teams have progressed middle of the pack to the top than from cheating to lose so they can draft a couple spots higher. And see I don’t whine about the team, i leave that to the losers.

Have you seen combat? Are you actually telling me that you endorse sending soldiers off to slaughter to create a perceived advantage somewhere else? Really? Do you want to rethink that?

Every team has a lot of issues. The big issues either cover or expose the little ones, that’s what football is.

As of now Jacksonville has the first pick.

That is not correct. Not in the nfl.
