Covid thread for the other 31 teams

This is pretty crazy. How do they play? Can some WR play option QB or something? Is it even sensible? I’m really curious what in the hell you do... it’s not like you can sign someone because there’s protocols in place that prevent acquisitions from joining the team immediately...
Yes Maximus, I AM entertained (until someone gets life long complications or worse). I'd tune in to watch what Kendall Hinton would do.

Just saying, if Pats can win this week and assuming Broncos lose this week with zero QBs and Ravens lose with no Jackson, they will definitely be in the conversation for that 7th spot, or even the 8th if this stuff gets crazy.

It will be fascinating to watch tomorrow to say the least...

I think the Texans game is the one they needed to have a realistic shot. Definitely gotta win out though no matter what.

I don’t think NE will make (or deserves to make) the playoffs. Having said that, I think there are several scenarios NE finishes 9-7 and makes the postseason. Getting to 9-7 would be a great accomplishment IMO and if they DID go 5-1, I’d have much respect for their effort and pride.

Yeah, the fact they have a tiebreaker over Baltimore and Vegas, and can also secure one against Miami with another win against them at the end of the year, means there’s definitely some chances. Browns and Ravens still have to play, and the Browns also play the Titans still too. Of course, losing the tiebreaker to Denver and Houston who are also in that same zone doesn’t help.

also to note - Vegas and Miami play each other still, so one of them is destined to lose, putting them within passing distance. Baltimore likely won’t beat Pitt this Tuesday all things considered. Not a likely path for NE but not some crazy setup.

I was gonna laugh but then I realized that guy is probably better than hoyer

Instead I’ll just laugh at the fact that all these games are looking like still gonna be played lmaooo

The Broncos have no quarterback for tomorrow’s game. They’re all on COVID reserve as close contacts.
Tom Matte says “put me in coach”

Broncos game should be interesting. Dust off the playbook...Wildcat, wishbone, halfback option, double passes. They have to find some way to pass or the Saints stack the box...... If Hinton pulls this off, it's a made for TV movie........ala Rudy....

If this is true, your safe to do what you want unless your the Pats or Saints...there's been lots of locker room celebrations this year around the league without masks on...

That’s been the mantra for quite some time, I’d say.

"integrity of the league" is really in question if they continue to allow so many depleted teams to play just so they can finish the season. Bad enough when a team loses its starting QB but when you lose all of them like Denver it really makes the season a joke. Imagine if this was a playoff game.

I’m expecting this to happen in the playoffs....super bowl played in March.

So the NFL will move the Earth to move Ravens/Steelers to Tuesday but can’t do the same for the Broncos and Saints? ****ing pathetic. The Broncos are going to resemble a team from 1939.

The NFL's unwillingness to have a consistent enforcement policy on how they handle various situations has been one of their biggest weaknesses the past 15 or so years. They appear to just make things up on the fly and are significantly influenced by what they believe is public opinion.

This is something really weird...probably never happened a team loosing ALL qb...

I think it never happened a team loosing all qb at roster...why the game is not postponed ?

1965 Baltimore colts....and it was a playoff game against the packers. Tom matte, halfback was an option qb in college, he became the qb for the colts. Colts lead most of game, with packers kicking a field goal at end to tie, taking it to OT. kick was wide, but called good. Goal posts extended in nfl as a result of that missed call. Packers won in OT.

And the NFL will probably build a statue to honour the Ravens bravery...
