The lack of pressure on opposing QB's is killing this defense. Understand that they played cautious today due to Watson's running ability but they never even made him uncomfortable let alone sack him. Team is on pace for around 20 sacks for the year.
It’s been along time since we were able to get consistent defensive pressure on the opposing quarterback… It’s like a broken record unfortunately… But the defense usually does just enough to allow the offense to score enough points to win the game… We don’t have Brady anymore

He was listed with a bad ankle before the game started. Then couldn't get up in the 4th quarter. Not good. Hope he's ok.
Thanks a lot… Yeah I’ll be praying for him ...he’s had a great year overall…

Offense:
OL not playing together well for some unfathmable reason
Cam cannot read a blitz to save his life
And most likely the WRs can't adjust to the blitz as outlets
Cam is Bledsoe like on short passes except Bledsoe overthrew while Cam under throws, EVERY SINGLE TIME

Defense:
I thought I liked our new safetys except none of them can cover a TE
DBs not playing together well for some unfathmable reason
LB a glaring weakness
NO pass rush

Harry wins Goat of the game with penalties, drops and overall uselessness. Fortunately for him the entire team sucked so he stands out less.

NKeal Harry is total garbage and ruins the blitz response because Meyers should be the one getting the quick slant passes.

.

They scored first, . .. by running Then stopped . .??
Well they stopped because they were getting stopped. 13 rush for 39 yards after the fg.

Right now even if we won out, we would be outside the top 10. There is a 0% chance we get ahead of the Jets/Jaguars or Bengals. 2 of those teams are definitley darfting QB's. The Giants will also struggle to win games the rest of the way and our two games behind us. They will draft a QB if someone is there. This is assuming we completely lose out or only win the Jets game.

Right now I have 4 QB's that should go in the first. We probably have no shot at 3 of them even if we lose out. Anybody else is a reach. And at this point you aren't getting your choice or have flexibility.
Thanks Lancer…So if we lost all remaining games… Where would you think we might end up? just in the middle of round? Thx

Because this team doesn't have the talent to simply line up and beat teams, we need to schematically beat teams who have more talent. Frankly, our coaching from schemes to adjustments haven't been enough. Defensively it's been a massive disappointment.

Horrible day. Harris got off to a great start, and then they abandoned him. Cam's stats look good, and he made some nice throws, but man a lot of terrible ones. He's not the future. Byrd looked good. Defense was terrible. Reffing was awful, at least in the first half. Wynn and Burkhead injured.

Season is over. Playing out the string the last six games. He won't do it, but BB really should bench Cam and play Stidham, if for no other reason than that they need to see what they have in that guy.

Another pathetic performance against a sub par team. Watson played great, whoever came up with the rush three guys who didn’t get any pressure, can’t tackle, and won’t keep him In the pocket, should be sent to the gallows.

Both McCourtys need to retire. Winovich constantly took and inside path and let Watson roll out. Gilmore was the only one actually delivering any blows.

Guy had a good game, the rest is crap.

Cam can’t throw, I wish he could, but it takes him forever to delivery a ball, and way too many of his passes are in the dirt.

Stidham is not a NFL QB, might as well keep playing Cam hoping that some other team will sign him next year and the Pats can get a comp pick.

I thought Harris looked great in the first drive and then I’m guessing he pulled a Butler and BB decided to not play him again.

Harry couldn’t get open, but he can hold!

outside of Lawrence, I’m not Sold on any of the other QBs coming out.

I don't think this team ultimately could be competitive late in the postseason. They just lack talent/depth at some spots.

At this point I'm not concerned about wins/losses - just want to see them compete hard and have the young players (Dugger, Onwenu, Harry, Meyers, Harris, Uche, Wino, Joejuan) hopefully develop and grow in their roles. The growth Meyers, Onwenu, Dugger, Harris are showing is great. Uche and Wino flashing at times too.

With cap space next season is a different story. The only real '?' would be the QB spot. I'm feeling a lot better about Cam now than I was 2-3 weeks ago but still not sure if he's a long term answer.

We shall see.
You are right.....They have way too many holes to try to fill this year from a depth perspective. Laying an egg against this team and Denver and even the Jets shows that this team has so many issues that there’s no way they’re going to be able to do anything this year… They probably should’ve tried to trade Gilmore and anybody else they could’ve just start stocking up the draft picks… Time to rebuild

Some things I saw gave me hope. Byrd seems like a keeper. He's not a #1 but maybe he can be a solid #2 In a championship team. Not elite but servicable, provide you also have playmakers at TE and RB who catch well.

I like what I'm seeing from our RT. He's been solid. Nice pick up. Overall they simply lack too much talent and a Great QB. The only thing that can fix that is a few good drafts. As recent history shows, the #1 overall pick isn't automatically the only spot where you can get a QB. Any time in the first 20 or so picks can give you a good chance in the right year.

Right now the NFL is QB rich which works in our favor, many teams would rather not invest a top 10 pick in a QB. They either have vets they are hanging onto or young guys they hope have upside.

I can only think of 2 or 3 teams that no question would invest a lot in a QB right now.
Crazy to think that 7 of the last 15 SB winning QBs were drafted outside the 1st round.

What to make of the inability to tackle? These secondary guys could tackle last year.

Cam is not the long term answer. The best thing to do now is to tank and pick our qb in the draft, its not going to be Lawrence unfortunately but maybe someone else
Lawrence may not even come out this year for the draft if it’s going to be the jest.... I can tell that he doesn’t want to go there...who would!?

Ths is why I think lancer needs to calm down. I don't think Trevor is the answer. Going back 25 yrs almost no #1 QBs were Superbowl winning QBs. I'd rather go 7-9, develop our young guys and be competitive, get rid of garbage like NKeal Harry/Sony/McDaniels, use our first rounder on DT/DE/LB, and develop a mid round QB like Mac Jones.

.

If we completely lost out starting today, I think we could maybe get in the 5-8 range. We might be able to get the last remaining QB I personally think is worth a 1st round grade. That's assuming Bill is willing to grab what's left and doesn't think it's too much of a reach. Last year we desperately needed a WR, watched a run of them happen right before us and then Bill refused to trade up one or two picks and just punted and traded to his usual round 2 DB

I think there's enough volume (and through his career) to see he's just not very accurate. He did complete a lot of passes today, but nothing really jumped out to me as precise, crisp, sharp or a QB capable of making accurate throws in tight windows. A lot of his passes were just hitting WR that were uncovered running wide open all over the field. The Byrd TD was putting it where the receiver needed to be, but i'm putting more on Byrd making a great play and tracking it well. Cam's arm strength has faded as well. There's no timing to this offense with him, it's just a QB dumping it off if a WR isnt streaking across the middle wide open.
Cam is a bad QB. That's it. Wven wide-open receivers ON THE LOS are getting balls skipped to them, regularly. Lol, it's embarassing. Then McDumbass piles on by abondoning the run with the exception of even more mind numbing calls like the Rex his knee sweep and the roll up Wynn draw. Maybe McDumbass is after the NYJ HC job? I have no other explanation for such a horrible ****ing game plan. The offense had success against a stacked box.

Moncrief makes a grab, then? Nothing? But NKeal got to flounder trying to catch bounce passes most the 4th quarter. Quick, someone check his seperation stats, he had a couple grabs behind the LOS that should pad those. Lmao.

This offense will not improve until McDipshit is axed. Hopefully Woody is drunk enough to offer him a job. Can't be any worse than the guy that showed up to his intro presser apparently tripping balls. Please Jeebus, let the Jets be incapably stupid just once more. Josh may be dumb enough to turn around and trade for his butt buddy Harry. Two birds one stone, perhaps?

Careful what you say about Harry because some people on here think he's the next Randy Moss.

Yeah draft position isn’t everything. The only two QBs drafted first overall in the last 25 years with at least one Super Bowl win are Peyton and Eli Manning

Watson was world class in first half. Pats contained him H2
Newton leaves plays on the field. Cant loft the ball over a defender, limited or
no available touch passes. Short flank passes rifled into the dirt or batted down
Then That Look when he flops on to the bench.

Honestly, if he stepped up a bit, just him, Pats win this game
But instead of coming through, making a play, fugatz

Then to the bench to sulk
How to get him to tell himself hes not a loser?
To refuse to lose?
Old habits are hard to break

Pats have to know this by now, I would hope?
Given that, it is all the more Bad
that Harris didnt get the ball
