In the NFL, you win titles one of three ways:
- Historically elite QB
- Historically elite defense
- Hot run
And hot runs are not sustainable.
I understand how you win in the NFL. Just saying it's not realistic to go after outliers like Brady & Manning. You get lucky getting guys like that.
Shea Patterson is the Michigan guy. He, uh, occasionally flashes NFL talent? Sometimes he looks like Manziel without a drinking problem extending plays and firing perfect passes on the run, though mostly he looks bad.
We need a QB.
