They were clearly beaten on the line on both sides of the ball
On the bright side the Oline may be a strength next year with Andrews back and hopefully retaining Thuney. They're all fairly young other than Cannon and battle tested. They'll also have depth as well.

So it would be complete if her was still on the Pat's? You know this how?
Good god bro. Can you seriously not read? I’m not posting the same damn answer fifty more times for you.

I picked a helluva time to quit meth and heroin...

The season was over when they lost last week against one of the worst teams in the league, with a guaranteed bye on the line.

Two weeks of rest, vs a spent winner between Titans and Chiefs, at home...only one win away from the AFCCG. That they managed to lose that game said it all about this team.

I’m still shell shocked they lost that game. I literally can not believe we lost 2 straight home games, against Miami and Tennessee.

Giving up the crown by losing to the Chiefs or Baltimore would have been understandable but ending our season like this will sting for a while.

It was just two weeks ago when we played a terrific game against the Bills. What happened man? :(:(:(:(:(

On the bright side, the AFC playoffs are far more interesting now:

Baltimore sure as hell wasn’t preparing for Tennessee this week

KC sure as hell wasn’t preparing for Houston.

This team was out of gas in late October. The retirement announcements, surgeries, and injuries we will learn about in the coming weeks will tell it all.

Miami games are always weird

Besides the free agents and upgrading we need at many positions, Edelman will be 33/34. If he still plays, he most likely will be in decline. So we have to also look for an Edelman replacement as well. Going to be a very interesting off season.

Don’t worry. Gunner will save us.

I'm ready to move on from McDaniels. I really am. Brady is the goat and will adjust to whoever is brought in, but I think an offense that hasn't been showcased for all to see for over a decade will do this team wonders. If I can guess the majority of our plays I bet professional defenses can as well.

Renfrow put up 700 yards on another team. Would have been a nice future replacement

You can’t not go for it with 3 min left when the other team has over 200 yards rushing. This is my first and last post in this thread. Terrible decision

I 100% think that was the right choice. There's time on the clock and the field position didn't make going for it make sense. To your point if you fail there you're giving a team with 200 yards of rushing the ball on like the 40 or wherever it was.

If they had a competent offense i think they could have made a run. This offense really has a tough time just getting to 20 point. This league is still about offense as well.

Yea, cause, our offensive woes are entirely on McDaniels. Nothing to do with injuries, a WR who doesn't know when to shut it, a WR who can't get off his addictions, and lack of offensive talent. It's all on McDaniels.

That offense helped win 3 Super Bowls, in 4 trips, in the past 6 years.

I think the problem with this year’s team is that after the Baltimore game there was evidence that we’re a flawed team and the rest of the league, along with our players, started to believe it.

We had trouble scoring against trash teams, too. We were in bad shape from the moment Brown left the team. The defense just covered the offense's tracks and cleaned up our mess.

It was more than apparent in the games against the Giants, Redskins, and Eagles.

Oh, and against the bottom two WORST TEAMS in the NFL. How could ANYONE, in all logical circumstances, believe the Patriots offense could go into Baltimore or Kansas City and smash up on these teams when they couldn't even beat teams under .400...

One of which was AT HOME!!!

It was at the NE37. I understood punting and I could've understood going for it. Punting would have worked out perfectly if Terrence Brooks hadn't gotten beaten by Firkser again on that huge 3rd and 8. A stop there and the Titans would have punted from their 15 with the Patriots still having 2 timeouts I think.

Assuming a 50 yard punt, Brady would have gotten the ball at perhaps around the 35-yard line (so around where they would have needed to convert the 4th down) with like 2:40 to go, the 2-minute warning and 2 timeouts.

In retrospect, that conversion was the final nail in the coffin.

Among other problems, this team wasnt able to capitalize opportunities, put games ahead, messing with other teams game plans by getting 10+ points ahead in the scoreboard. I wanted them to go for it instead of kicking that last FG. That would maybe put the Titans in a different position.

Just like Miami last week, they stayed cool as a cucumber and followed their game plan. When teams don’t get desperate against the Patriots they usually do better. The Pats have been able to win and control millions of games in the past just by doing that and capitalizing on the opportunities. This team wasn’t able to do that in any time in the past few weeks.
