"There have been a few throws," said safety Terrence Brooks, "that we see in practice where we're like, 'Damn, that was a nice one. He's getting better.' That's a good guy that's coming to work every day and proving he belongs here. I'm excited about him, man. Just to see some of the throws that he makes, it's pretty cool to see. Just to see his growth from where he started this summer, it's awesome, man"
I think Tommy should play out this season regardless how things are going for him and the team...you don't pull the GOAT. Stidham should get a full season to prove himself.
Receivers are dropping a lot of balls. Brady has had bad throws but he probably gives them the best chance to win.For whatever reason, the Patriots' passing game has been close to the worst in the league the last few games. Whether it's Brady's injury, the receivers and their injuries, the O-Line and their injuries or the coaching, it's been about as bad as it can be.
Brady's decline is a possible factor, particularly because the way great football players usually end their careers is from an inability to recover from injuries in acceptable time or at at acceptable cost. This elbow injury might be what ultimately causes Brady to decide to retire. 42 year olds don't recover like 32 year olds.
My guess is that Brady playing with the current injury is now at or below replacement value as a QB. The decline in the passing game this year from before the injury to now suggests that.
If that's true, the team sadly might now be better off starting Stidham, or bringing him in if Brady looks like he continues to not be able to perform because of the injury. And it's possible Brady may get further injured as a consequence of trying to compensate for the restrictions of the injury.
But let's be optimistic and hope Brady shows he's recovering.
If not, it may indeed be Stidham time.
So if the kid is that good, why not shut Brady down? He won't be back any way.
What is BB doing? He is usually heartless when it comes to old players. Let the kid play and let the broken down goat sit on the bench.
One hell of a run-on sentence you got there bud.
On to something? More like you're on somethingDon't sleep on Stidham, that tweet told me I was on to something and I was on to something.
I've seen shorter sentences for vehicular manslaughter. One hell of a run-on sentence you got there bud.

No, Kessler would be getting them if Stidham were terrible, because BB would be preparing his #2 QB to step in and play if necessary, and he’d be using his #3 QB to run the scout team and develop his skills. So what this says is that Stidham is ahead of Kessler on the depth chart. That may not be a tremendously high bar but it does say JS is not “terrible”.I don't think this says anything good about his development. If Stidham is terrible, which he may or may not be, he'd still be getting these reps out of necessity.
I’m going to recommend the Bill Belichick JC .gif that was created when some idiot reporter asked him about benching Brady last time.Just imagine a really insulting gif / meme implying you’re insane.
Point proven don't sleep on our guy Stidham he's next, just so happen I make a thread today and look I caught on after he's pre season surpassed Jimmy G and haven't been wrong since even Kyler Murray said he would want to face Stidham and Stidham put up better pre season numbers and Stidham was a projected 1st rounder before he had to transfer schools so we low key got a 1st round QB in the 4th.
If what BB said is true and Tom has been missing a ton of practice time then it would make sense.Have heard this before, as Brady has been ailing for a while now... have to wonder if that is why Harry and Meyers have had issues with timing & route running with Brady...
Yep. Everybody on here has been blaming the new WRs but it could be the geriatric QB.If what BB said is true and Tom has been missing a ton of practice time then it would make sense.
