OT: Interesting Andrew Luck Injury Takes

Colts are going to tank the 2020 season and draft Trevor aren’t they.

That strategy can't pay off forever. One of these times, the Colts are going to draft the modern equivalent of Ryan Leaf or Heath Schuler.

I'm no doctor, but I looked up the condition, and what it appears to be in layman's terms, is a condition where you injure a muscle and in trying to repair itself, your body gets confused and starts to grow bone there rather muscle cells. Is this correct? If so, it doesn't sound like an itty bitty problem.

Luck is a bust without the ailment.

His post season numbers are atrocious.

8 wins - 8 loss = .500
11 Sacks
12 TDs
13 INTS
56% completion rate is Mark Sanchez terrible.

Colts are never winning a thing with Andy Luck unless they build a pro bowl team around him. Luck is always missing one piece to the puzzle on why he is not a winner.

My Dearest Gen Luck,

My heart breaks with the reception of your latest telegram. I know how many defeats you have suffered at the hands of the cheating bastards up at Fort Gillette and this years campaign was supposed to be the glorious one we have all been waiting for! I know how much you have been preparing for the threat nearby from Arrowhead nation and Lt. Mahomes, but defeating Gen. Brady is your true calling. Now, you write me to tell of this evil bone injury that has vexxed you. How can this be happening agin my love? I think it may be time to leave this forsaken mid western town and then our luck will change.

Forever yours,

Abigail

Luck seems like a good enough chap:
Andrew Luck compliments opponents on good tackles

Luck hit free agency and never should have re-upped with that ****-show.
Big, big mistake. He got hammered behind a porous O-line.

I personally felt he lived up to expectations. He was pro-ready from the get go.

He's obviously no TFB...there is only one.
He holds on to the ball too long. He may have done well on a team that had an actual professional O-line, some weapons, and a credible D.
At this point he's looking a little charred around the edges.

Wasn't there a point last year where it came out he had cracked or broken ribs weeks before it showed up on the injury report?

If that was the Pats, there would be hell to pay.
The double standard pisses me off.

Luck is probably the most overrated QB of my lifetime. All this is going to do is give the Colts time to make excuses for his otherwise very average QB play.

This seems like a pre-packaged excuse for every QB who doesn’t live up to expectations. The Colts do have a professional offensive line made up of millionaire athletes...maybe they haven’t been elite, but in the salary cap era, you always have to deal with some shortcomings. Every team goes through peaks and valleys in every area. In terms of skill players, whhhaaaatttt? He’s had more than a fair share.

Damn, I was so looking forward to the "rivalry being back on." :D

Not sure why a guy like Anthony Costanzo is going on his 9th consecutive year as the Colts starting LT if they had an issue with OL play at the premier position. Nelson is arguably a top 2 guard in the league already and will be a mainstay going forward. Kelly is another 1st rounder at center who has started every game he’s played in. OL will probably continue to be a scapegoat though for the Colts going forward if it means saving Luck from criticism.

Be careful what you wish for. If this disease attacked your other head and replaced brain cells, you'd become a certified bonehead. (Hey -- maybe that's what tainted the drinking water down in East Rutherford.)

One of those times ? They did that for overrated, INT machine, never making it to the big game Luck.

Winning is the goal. Not “having the next great thing”. Luck has been nothing but hype and a few stats in regular season games. He is nothing.

The evolution of this injury has been amusing to watch. It started out as a “calf injury.” No big deal. But once I heard the phrase “high ankle sprain” I thought to myself ok, Andrew, we’ll see you in October - if you’re lucky.

This is actually a pretty good point.

I don't think any of Andrew Luck's injuries end up being what they're originally reported.

Also the medical staff lies regularly to the owner, which is always good.
