Brady puts Brookline home on the market

Brady's house now listed as "off market". CNN jerkoffs take it up the wazoo again

4.) Google says it is a 33 minute helicopter ride from Greenwich, CT to Boston, MA. We know helicopters can land at Gillette behind the stadium...I saw it a few times myself when at Gillette on game days. Brady certainly can afford to charter a helicopter....

Anything but helicopters...helicopters are the devil:

Wut?

I could see peanut butter and marshmallow Fluff but Miracle Whip? Is your cholesterol like 400?

Cholesterol is excellent.. don't knock it until you try it.. have to use a very commercial white bread, have not done that in about 50 years.

"White bread makes you dead"!!!

“The whiter the bread, the quicker you’re dead.”

But wheat is terrible, and rye sucks, too. Pumpernickel? Couldn’t imagine. I suppose you get used to it after awhile, but I think it would be a difficult change to make.

Whole Foods does. I would think all of their stores stock it.
Amazon carries all the Primal Kitchen stuff (avacado mayo, avacado dressings, etc).

He's retiring after this season.

We tank for Trevor, everybody wins.

I’ve always laughed and grinned at the thought of the team winning the Super Bowl this coming year, Brady retiring. Belichick taking a year off, this the team goes 1-15 . Then getting the first pick, taking Trevor, and Belichick then returning to dominate the league for another 10 + years. Other fan bases would lose their ****. Might just ruin the sport. Lol

Sorry about the death of your taste buds.

There are so many variables here it is almost not worth commenting on them.

No one said that they would sell their house and move right away.
No one knows that they will sell it at all in the next year.
They could sell it and rent for a couple of years.
They could buy the house for themselves in Greenwich which would be a permanent base, but they don't need to live there right away.

I can see however that this is a message for Kraft, since, when the Brookline house was built, Brady was overtly discussing his relationship with Kraft. But perhaps there's more to it--maybe Brady built it with other post-football goals in mind.

I will say this, the whole situation is crazy when you realize we don't have Steve Young backing up Brady.
Like Hef being allowed to remain (until death) in the Playboy Mansion after its sale, Brady could demand he be allowed to remain in the home’s She Shed/Yoga study/glute therapy space after the mansion’s sale.

Maybe Robert has a spare room for his fifth son.

The end for Brady is inevitably coming at some point in the next three years so while it's great to still have him around, it's more important to find the next Qb.

It remains to be seen how Stidham fits into the plan but camp reports sound promising for a rookie especially looking back at Garoppolo's rookie year:

The New England Patriots rookie quarterback struggled in his second career training camp practice, completing 3 of 7 passes in 11-on-11s and going 3 of 8 in 7-on-7s. Garoppolo also threw two interceptions in team drills — one to linebacker Chris White without a wide receiver in sight. White didn’t have to move to pull in the errant pass.

I'm right up the street from Gillette. He can stay in my spare bedroom if he needs to.

How fast with a jet pack from Greenwich to Foxboro?

Would be awesome if Brady landed on the 50 yard line @ Gillette just before kick off......

The intimidation factor would be off the charts! Like how the team danced pre-game in, "Remember The Titans"!

for what its worth category, I live in Greenwich and heard at a party yesterday that he is in contract, or may have already closed, on a mansion down by the water....

I love commenting on a thread in the first few pages, forgetting about it, then coming back 10 pages later to find out everyone's talking about bread.

If so, he'll need a flotilla or force field to keep the NY Paparazzi and drones away.

Government valuations of real estate:
1) lag the market
2) are based on generalized "comparables" and it's hard to come up with comparables for some houses

If his house actually sells for $35M, at some point in the next couple of years (barring a housing market crash) its assessed value will be in the $35M ballpark.

Incredibly accurate. Been a residential appraiser out of college for 3 years and this is spot on.

Custom houses like this, in this stratosphere of the real estate market, can be hard to come close to valuing appropriately simply using construction cost estimators. This baby's got a massive Tom Brady adjustment factor all over it. Also, theres that whole part of real estate where you can ask for any damn amount of money you want.

I have to think this could be on the market upwards of a year or longer, with zero knowledge of this market area.

Even if this is so, you've got to believe (based on their prior RE purchases) that after they close they are going to be doing major renovations/updates, which can take a year or more with really big houses, and really expensive tastes.
