Draft Rumours And Buzz

I like Knox and and Savage in those spots.
Too early for Savage (or almost any DB) for me. I want 32, 56 & 64 to be spent on the best WR/TE /DL(preferably DE)/OL(preferably LT) available.

I'm not a big fan of TE Knox being drafted in the 2nd round not because of the lack of production, but from not being able to play a full season while at Ole Miss and coming off of a current hernia(?) injury.

NFL Draft & Combine Profile - Dawson Knox | NFL.com

I think sternburgers our guy somewhere on day 2. I know his combine numbers were average across the board in relation to the other TEs but on film to me he seems the toughest to bring down after the catch.

I wouldn't take Any of the above names except for Knox at the spots in the draft where Pauline speculates they could go. I would go Office Space on my TV if I see that happening before my eyes.
Sounds like someone has a case of the Mondays.

Sounds like Montez Sweat is dropping. Hope he falls to 32?
Move up to 21??

If we clear him medically, then I'd be intrigued from 21 onward. Explosive and productive power rusher with length? Yes, please!

If 31 other teams had passed on him, I’d be concerned if we were the only ones clearing him medically. Hurst fell to the fourth last year although Sweat’s isn’t considered as serious.

There’s not a lot of room to trade back if we want an OT with our first pick. Might be better just to sit.

In retrospect, perhaps Hurst shouldn't have fallen. I suppose that could change if he dies on the field this season, but so far it doesn't seem to be a problem. There's not really another player quite like Sweat remotely in our range in this draft, so I'm mighty intrigued.

I may start to lean toward Little @32 if that's the case.

My preference is still probably going to lean safety at #32 because I think there are two guys who could be All-Pros in this draft and both will likely be available, but the talent available at the back end of the round at receiver, tight end, offensive line, and defensive line is all pretty intriguing to me.

How would you feel about ‘Chauncey Gardner-Johnson. I saw him get linked to the Pats as a first rounder today. And he certainly fits the type. Savage and Thornhill are the two that get my pulse racing however.

Adderley and Gardner-Johnson are the guys I think could be All-Pros. Savage is right below them. Think all three would be worthy picks at #32.

I like those two too. I’m a fan of this safety class.

I think Tony Pauline mentioned some character concerns with Gardner-Johnson. I love his game though.

If Dante thinks Chris Lindstrom can legitimately play tackle then I can see us potentially trading up for him, maybe to 25-27 with one of those comp 3rds. He has the perfect measurables for a Patriots o-lineman plus he has the versatility to play 3/4 spots along the line.

I think Adderley's a questionable fit for the Patriots because he's a single-high guy and Savage is more cover-2 but CGJ, Rapp, and Thornhill would all fit like a glove. The latter two are definitely options in the 2nd.
