The difficulties In Hitting Our Two biggest Needs: EDGE and RT

Mayo won't believe it till it happens.

I just try to suggest things that make sense to me. I'm usually wrong.

I think some of the following make sense:

1. Iheanachor- DDS - Roush

2a. Iheanachor - BPA @ 63 - trade up in 3rd from 95 + 131 for EDGE - best TE @ 125

2b. Same as 2a, but trade 95 for an EDGE such as Kayvon Thibodeaux.

That's all assuming that Iheanachor (or Blake Miller, though I far prefer Iheanachor, whatever Captain Stone thinks) is available at 31, or with a small trade up. The only other player I would really give serious consideration to at 31 would be Akheem Mesidor.

I am well aware that things may not fall that way, and it's important to be flexible.

I'm just going with the athleticism/upside thing they went with the first two days last year. Iheanachor probably does best offer that in the first, provided he's there. I'm still Team Mesidor but Max has jumped up to joint 2nd along with Jacas...He may be nosing ahead to be honest.

I like Crawford as a possibility at 63 still, but DDS does make sense too. I'm less of a fan of him for 2025 but his athleticism is intriguing. I'd still rather we did better than him at EDGE although I know you like him much more than me.

I think Delp and Roush are very likely in the 3rd and both are fine options I can fully support but I'm starting to come round to Kaleb Proctor in the 3rd, Kacmarek in the 4th. Proctor is another that ticks the athleticism/upside box for day 2. He'd be a fun rotation piece with Milton Williams.

Iheanachor isn’t going to be there at 31. We should pull together a likely list of who will be there and have a vote as I’m not sure it’s going to look that pretty. Feels like it’s going to be some of the edge rushers, the interior o-lineman, the falling DTs, a couple of corners, and the linebackers. It would be trade down for me if that’s how it plays out.

Looking at the latest mocks, there is a bit of a murderers row of tackle needy teams at DET (17), PIT (21), LAC (22), PHI (23), CLE (24), CHI (25), HOU (28) and SF (27). If Mauigoa, Fano and Proctor are gone by that point, that's eight spots for 4 tackles. So yes, you're probably right.

We know what we would if we can manage to draft directly or move up for Iheanchor, Miller or Mesidor. On wildcard is to trade for Thibodeaux.

Perhaps, it is time to consider a Plan B. It is not at all far-fetched to lose both tackles and Mesidor.

We might TRY to trade up with our 3rd to move up to about 25.

This depends on Iheanachor being their for the Pats but I am starting to think Mayo might have nailed this draft and we end up going Iheanachor-DDS. It fits their MO from last year of going with athleticism with their first four picks and it probably doesn't need a big trade up from 63 like a Jacas would for example. Maybe Crawford would be a possibility instead of DDS, but they'd certainly be drafting athleticism and upside with Iheanachor and DDS.

I don't want Imananchor at 31. At All.

I know we just came off a Super Bowl appearance but let's not kid ourselves. This team has a lot of holes still so trading up doesnt make a lot of sense IMO. Especially if we are expected to trade draft capital in 27 for AJ Brown.

Yes, many think that we have little chance at competing this year. ROFL

I just want 1 of each by Friday night. I'm not picky.

One down, 1 to go.

Gabe Jacas, TJ Parker, Zion Young, DDS and Keyron Crawford all on the board.
