Best Of Social Media: Day 1 Of Patriots Joint Practices With The Philadelphia EaglesPaul Rutherford-USA TODAY Sports

On Sunday night, the New England Patriots traveled to Philadelphia for their first of two joint practice sessions with the Philadelphia Eagles before their preseason matchup on Thursday.

The session also marked the first joint practices by either team in two years and featured full pads over the course of two hours Monday morning.

A few notable storylines from this practice saw both Cam Newton and Mac Jones struggle and another injury to a tight end, this time Matt LaCosse, who was hit by Eagles defensive end Derrick Barnett and had to leave the field for an evaluation.  An update on his condition is unavailable at the time of this writing.

As for how the practice overall unfolded, check out some social media sights and sounds from South Philadelphia shared by the Patriots and local media below.
