What is the unit metric for those values, yards?

I will stand by someone referencing a link to stats that show the player ranked 51 out of 51 as a truly idiotic response to me saying the player was not VERY GOOD that season.
There are so many posters on this forum that don't take themselves seriously, willingly admitting when they are wrong or just lol'ing about it and making a joke. There are studies of escalation and its psychology that people on internet forums should familiarize themselves with.
Two Eyes for an Eye: The Neuroscience of Force Escalation
The gist is that when people think they are replying in a tit-for-tat fashion in a "fight", they are, in fact, escalating, but cannot perceive that they are escalating (we are not that good at judging these things objectively, and tend to perceive slights against us as worse than they are, and our own actions as less bad than they are). So you end up with this ratcheting up of insults/harm. Maybe erring on the side of de-escalation is helpful. Note I know I'm not perfect and I'm not trying to be sanctimonious here. But calling someone a "literal idiot" might be crossing a line, and nobody is forcing anybody to respond to insults. They can actually be ignored.
Just sayin'.
Man, if we get a serviceable TE2 who can put up 200TDs, I can’t wait to see our TE1 does!I think you have two camps of negativity.
If the expectation was to sign the next Gronk, you have the crowd on the GDT who suffer from immediate gratification syndrome and ***** about a 24-14 win.
The other crowd is I guess someone like me who doesn't think too highly of ASJ but there might be a chance he can make the team and be a serviceable TE2 (20 catches, 200tds, a few TDs and good run/pass blocking).
Yeah he's better than a JAG no question.
Crap signing.
Hopefully they'll get lucky with it, though.
You told me Larry was a #1 NFL running back. It’s going to take a lifetime if you are going to post pictures of all the players that produced more than 30 yards a game.
I guess you think maroney was VERY GOOD.
I know it's big shoes to fill, but is it really entirely implausible that he could possibly produce better numbers than Gronk did in 2018?
682 yards and 3 TD's

Anything is possible. I think the bigger question is whether or not he can block well enough -- for run and pass -- to leave him on the field in all formations. That's a resounding no, I'd wager.
The only person that cares about a 51st ranking is you.You literally are an idiot.
Click the link on the page you posted and it takes you here TIGHT ENDS 2017 | Football Outsiders
Where Jenkins is ranked 51 out of 51 TEs catching 25 or more passes in DYAR.
You link things that prove you are wrong because you don’t understand what you are looking at. And btw only 36% in mid range is exactly a guy rarely getting thrown to down the field as his 7 ypc indicates.
THAT is your argument that he was VERY GOOD in 2017? Oh your stats also show he was 48/51 in DVOA.
Again nothing at all to do with saying he was VERY GOOD in 2017.
This guy was a stud in college - great hands, 6'6", 260 but has some issues with alcohol. This is a guy with tremendous potential.
You may remember he got hosed in 2017 by the refs against the Patriots:
I just wish he can get rid of the nose piercingI don't understand why there is any controversy on this topic at all. 50 yardline pretty much said it all in his post. This is one of the best "no risk, high reward" signings we've had in a LONG time.
Someone pointed out that there were 3 decent FA TE options this off season, James, Cook, and ASJ. As far as "risk/reward goes, ASJ is far and away the best choice. I liked James, but I think that between Warring, Knox, Sternberger, or Oliver, we can replace the talent he'd have brought vs the aprox 6MM/yr contract James got. I liked Cooks but he's getting almost $8MM/yr AND he's 32.
The great part about ASJ is that, while he comes with the POTENTIAL to replace the 6oo+ yds and 3 TD's Gronk gave us last season, if he fails, the consequences of that signing is ZERO.
As a previous post pointed out, he prior 3 teams were disasters the years he played for them. The same pretty much goes for the QB's, coaches, and offensive systems he ran in. They were mediocre at BEST! I don't think that "talent" is the issue. He COULD be a very productive starter IF he can remain healthy, sober, and mentally tough. It really comes down to how badly he wants it.
But like I said, its doubtful he gets to September if it isn't clear which way this is going to go, and if he fails, then....so what. Cutting him will have the same impact on the team as cutting Izzo or any other end of the roster guy.
When you sign a FA or draft pick, all you can ask is that the choice you make has a low risk and high reward ratio. This one hits BOTH of those buttons.
Ugh. Slight typo...just a small one.Man, if we get a serviceable TE2 who can put up 200TDs, I can’t wait to see our TE1 does!
Don't really understand the negativity here - well, I do, because it's Patsfans, after all, and New England hasn't figured a way to defeat the Felger virus.
