Although Prescott has been a steal for the Cowboys, any bargain they're getting is going to end this offseason and that's because he's now eligible for an extension. Currently, there are a total of 11 quarterbacks making more than $20 million per year and based on what the Cowboys have said about Prescott, he's a lock to be joining that club before the start of the 2019 season, and he might even become one of the rare quarterbacks making more than $25 million per year.

One thing's for sure though: when negotiations begin for Prescott's new deal, don't look for the Cowboys quarterback to go the Tom Brady route. Brady is basically the only quarterback in the NFL who regularly signs for below-market value, and unless Prescott finds a rich wife, it doesn't sound like he plans on emulating Brady.

Overpaying your QB because your defense, RB, and o-line are good seems like a strategy...

He hangs onto the ball too long. He frequently misses open receivers. He's a guy that needs elite talent around him to succeed. Everything shouldn't have to be perfect for your QB to succeed. And if it does, then he likely isn't a franchise QB.

Hope Brady plays to 45 or longer, our next QB when it's time is gonna want like 30M a yr by then.

Another team that would be better off acknowledging what they truly have and making Foles an offer.

If you were in Dak’s shoes would you trust Jerry Jones to build a Super Bowl team around you?

He will get it because a lot of QBs just plain suck.

Dak's also not going to emulate Brady (career).

Mediocre starting QBs looking to get top QB money is not exactly a new thing. The question is whether or not Jerruh has the balls to tell Dak that he's more like Boyles than Brady.

QB contracts are already there. By the time Brady's successor wants a second deal it'll be 40M.

I’ll go further. Not worth 15M$. Yes, yes others make more..... but does anyone here think you win with Dak ? I think it’s more likely you win DESPITE Dak.
Agree. He doesn't impress me

I think Dak is very average and as silly as it seems, average is $15m per these days
