Wildcard Game Thread: Chargers @ Ravens

I dont follow this.

Someone posted a Twitter that listed last 11 teams Pats played in the playoffs (including SB) and they were all different. Seems unlikely but for us being the only constant.

Lol we will maul the chargers

I guess it ends with LAC since they played both KC and Indy. Still seems impressive in the unlikeliness of it. I guess it shows how inconsistent NFL teams are.

Congrats Chargers. Boo Hoo Ravens. I believe , after watching the show today, that we can beat the Chargers. As previously noted by Redman ,it would be to our advantage to have a typical January Sunday in New England next week. Go Pats!

I think Baltimore would've won that game with Flacco.

As the game went on it was pretty clear that Jackson was in way over his head. I was amazed that Flacco never came in.

I know that many of our fans like to refer to Flacco as Jump Ball Joe, but he has a decent playoff record (8-4) and has won a SB ring and a SB MVP. I'd take him in a heartbeat for the Pats if we didn't have Brady

Jackson is awful, garbage time drives notwithstanding

His first big completion during the "comeback" was a wounded duck blooper that was mistimed badly by the defender. All the DB had to do was take a step or two back and he would have been camped under it.

Man, I did not think the Chargers could do it but they did. But the Ravens stink. That QB is just garbage. He got lucky on a couple of pass plays but honestly, not impressed.

Next week will be a huge challenge. A great road team against a great home team.
Run first QBs suck

Flacco went 4-10 for 34 yards 0 TD and 1 INT against the Patriots back in 2009. Although the Ravens somehow won that game behind their D and Rice and McGahee gashing the Pats D on the ground for well over 200 yards.

I noticed you didnt quote the other game he played against us in playoffs in 12 and 14

No idea why anyone wanted Chargers over Ravens.

New FG rule

It should be 4 to ping the post 3 for down the middle

Harbaugh would approve. You know Tucker is so good he could hit it at will.

Did anyone else notice this in the player introductions for the Ravens?:

On the surface, this is something the Ravens do to fire up their defense and fans. The problem is, the NFL banned teams from bringing props, like baseball bats, in 2015 as a result of the Odell Beckham-Josh Norman fracas (The Panthers had been bringing a bat on the field before games, a Carolina pointed at Beckham with the bat, Beckham felt threatened and then headhunted Norman during the game.)

This may seem like a trivial matter, but we all know how serious disobeying an NFL memo or any rule, no matter how inconsequential, can be. Considering the Ravens were fined $200k back in August for violating the helmet communications guidelines and have several other minicamp violations over the last few years, a substantial fine should be in order. This wasn't a one-time thing, either as this photo from the week 17 game against the Browns shows:

Who am I kidding, though? I just gave this matter more attention than the NFL ever will. They'll take action on this right after they fine the Steelers for lying about Antonio Brown on the injury report.
