Yes, but the Bills defense is pretty good, too. Will we be able to run for 273 per game against playoff opponents? No, but that doesn't mean we can't run for a significant number, either. That OL and RB performance was GD impressive, to me. If TB12 goes back to pass every down vs those teams he'll be in the f###### hospital before the end of the first quarter.Sure, but that becomes much more of a challenge with teams who can stop the run like Baltimore, Tennessee, etc.
IMO, Brady is rebuilding the passing offense. He is targeting White, Burkhead, and Edelman more for now. I think next week, we start scheming up routes for Gronkowski to get open...and then start working on Dorsett/Hogan.
luckily we also got Dobson when Keenan Allen was on the board. it's unfortunate we don't mess w guys that have knee issues....or on guys like Tyler Lockett...but who needs guys like him when we can have Jordan Richards?
Forget cooks we miss amendola. Hogan can’t get open and dola was always able to make the catches in crunch time. We simply do not have that this year.
If you think Edelman is struggling more to get open this year, you're watching a different guy than I am. I don't think his elusiveness or route-running have deteriorated one iota. I agree he's had a few more drops than usual, but I think overall he's been the same guy as always. If anything, given that his cast of fellow receivers isn't as good as it has been and Brady's clearly not himself I think he's been outstanding.Dola was great as a 3rd option, especially with Gronk playing at a high level. We don’t have that right now. I don’t think Dola was “better” than the current Edelman who is struggling a little bit more this year to get open.
Not all on WRs. Mediocre pass blocking + Brady head clock speeding up + late in progression = no targets.
Looks open here too. Brady never looks. Several have speculated that knee injury may be a factor here.
Both in Brady's Dog house?? I am beginning to think that Brady needs glasses or contacts. He should get tested during the Bye week.
Yes. And then unleash the Hollister twins in the AFCCG.
All this time I missed the methodology Tom employs. I will certainly forgive his interceptions and drives ending with Ryan Allen getting a sore leg.
If you want to excuse the atrocity that was our passing game against the bills, there’s plenty of stuff you can use as excuses
But an atrocity it was, and had we ran just a bit less efficiently, we would have probably lost with a completely inept offense
It’s a problem, regardless what’s happened in other games this year, regardless of how the run game went, the passing game was a major concern, ideally it was just a blimp, but the trends w no more josh, and with a non utilized Hogan and Dorset are quite troubling, hopefully either correctable, or very temporary, but you can rest assured, if we have another showing in the passing game similar to this last bills game; we will 95% chance lose said game
Guregian: Josh McDaniels isn’t buying code red on Patriots passing game – Boston HeraldI mean, nobody is happy with what we did in the passing game yesterday, and it starts with me,” McDaniels said.
I get what you’re going for, and while I completely agree, we should stop using what the coaches say to validate our views. The day a coach of the NEP’s comes out and lays it all on the line we should be very worried about what is going on in that locker room.Guregian: Josh McDaniels isn’t buying code red on Patriots passing game – Boston Herald
Evidently, Josh does not read this board, where any suggestion of a problem after a victory can be seen as some sort of emotional defect. You can be happy with a team's accomplishments while simultaneously acknowledging their imperfections.
The trend is we threw for over 300 yards per game over ten games then had one game where we demolished a team on the ground and only threw 24 passes. If you want to excuse the atrocity that was our passing game against the bills, there’s plenty of stuff you can use as excuses

One game is not a trend.
