Yes, but the Bills defense is pretty good, too. Will we be able to run for 273 per game against playoff opponents? No, but that doesn't mean we can't run for a significant number, either. That OL and RB performance was GD impressive, to me. If TB12 goes back to pass every down vs those teams he'll be in the f###### hospital before the end of the first quarter.

IMO, Brady is rebuilding the passing offense. He is targeting White, Burkhead, and Edelman more for now. I think next week, we start scheming up routes for Gronkowski to get open...and then start working on Dorsett/Hogan.

Forget cooks we miss amendola. Hogan can’t get open and dola was always able to make the catches in crunch time. We simply do not have that this year.

Dola was great as a 3rd option, especially with Gronk playing at a high level. We don’t have that right now. I don’t think Dola was “better” than the current Edelman who is struggling a little bit more this year to get open.

If you think Edelman is struggling more to get open this year, you're watching a different guy than I am. I don't think his elusiveness or route-running have deteriorated one iota. I agree he's had a few more drops than usual, but I think overall he's been the same guy as always. If anything, given that his cast of fellow receivers isn't as good as it has been and Brady's clearly not himself I think he's been outstanding.

I wish I could remember who it was (Player or coach, maybe even BB) who pretty much categorically dismissed all the "He was open!" analyses for their often misleading nature.

As a matter of fact, I think it was BB, and that it happened on the week that Brady threw the ball to Gordon and BB asked him which player (Edelman or Gordon) Brady had been looking to.

If I had a dollar for every time over the years in this forum someone said why isn't Brady throwing to this player or that player i could take a grand vacation with the money. Players exist on this roster for if and when they are needed ... even if that's only a few games. it's been that way a long time ... yet the question keeps coming back like a boomerang. How about binoculars, he can't see or find the open receivers. He is stuck on Edelman who number 2 in the league with dropped balls and he played 4 less games, Gronk who hasn't caught many passes this season and Gordon who is gone. Yes he can throw, with short passes, to the guys coming out of the backfield.

That is the thing....there are only about 65 offensive snaps every week...plus I guess about 120 snaps during practice weekly (assuming 40 snaps each day on Wed, Thurs, and Fri). Hard to gel with receivers given only 185 snaps per week and likely 30-40 targets a week with most coming on 7 on 7 drills.

One could argue that Brady should have been at OTA’s back in March/April/May....but the guys we had back then are no longer on the team (Britt, Matthews, Mitchell, and etc...)...

It’s a problem, regardless what’s happened in other games this year, regardless of how the run game went, the passing game was a major concern, ideally it was just a blimp, but the trends w no more josh, and with a non utilized Hogan and Dorset are quite troubling, hopefully either correctable, or very temporary, but you can rest assured, if we have another showing in the passing game similar to this last bills game; we will 95% chance lose said game

The Pats ran the ball 47 times, while attempting only 25 passes against the league's best pass-D.

I get what you’re going for, and while I completely agree, we should stop using what the coaches say to validate our views. The day a coach of the NEP’s comes out and lays it all on the line we should be very worried about what is going on in that locker room.

The trend is we threw for over 300 yards per game over ten games then had one game where we demolished a team on the ground and only threw 24 passes.

one game is not a trend overall, but if there is a big change in the passing offense, (ie josh no longer around), the previous trend also becomes worthless (unless you want to go back to the games before we acquired Josh)

its nice to say "yeah since getting josh we've been doing great!" then we lose josh and its not something we should take as the new norm
