NFL Trade Deadline “Ideas”

Snacks Harrison??

Harrison would be kind of a steal on his current contract. Cap hit of $3.88M for the last 8 games of 2018, $7M in 2019, $9M in 2020 (at age 32).

Not really reasonable to think that the Pats could swing both Harrison and Peterson. Not enough maneuvering room on the cap.

It would be nice, though.

After Peterson of course Harrison is quickly becoming my #2 trade target. Contract isn’t outrageous, immediately upgrades us at DT and Lowers the DT need in 2019 with the expected departures of Shelton and brown.

I don't watch much Giants football. I've been told he is a very good run stuffer. Can he also create that "push" from the inside? My eyes tell me that if we got some more pressure up the middle, then the rest of the defenses performance would improve. I feel that our DT spot this year is probably our weakest group.

Not sure what you mean by "weakest group".

Get Landon Harrison and Peterson who said you cant buy a championship.
Honestly Falcons should he all over Landon Collins.

They have a bye next and should have Keanu Neal back week 10.

So what would we be happy giving up fort he following players..

Pat Pete -

Snacks Harrison -

Conley was my #2 CB that year. I'd be all for kicking those tires. He'll give Bill fits when it comes to run support/tackling but he has shadow potential. Great feet. Smooth, smart player. I think @reamer was a big fan as well when he was coming out.

*Side note* If Oakland gets rid of him they're really going to hurting for talent. Basically going all in on 2019/2020 draft with no net to catch them if they fall.

Damon Harrison would kill it in our defense, but I actually like our d-line as it is. Guy and Flowers have been standouts while Brown + Shelton have been very serviceable (not special, just quality starters). How much more of an impact do we need from DH, compared to bringing in Peterson opposite of Gilmore? Nobody would want to throw against that secondary.

If we're examining a true need on defense, then it would be a quick LB who can tackle in the open field. Like the Landon Collins and Deone Bucannons of the world. Again though, bringing in Peterson would completely change the complexion of our defense - while we're already vulnerable in the RB vs. LB game, those plays I'd imagine would become way more predictable to guard.

From the perspective of salary cap alone, Conley with cap hits of 2.8M(2019) and 3.3M(2020) is more appealing the Jenkins 14.75M ( 2019 & 2020). Conley another 1st round pick would fit right with the so called "misses" of other teams.

I agree as great as Gruden thinks he is, IMO he is mediocre, if he completely jettisons his talent will take a few years before his team will be competitive again..

Harrison, Collins, or Pat Pete would make a huge difference to this team defence.

Harrison would be the first time since wilfork we would have a legit NT. I’d thought Shelton would of taken that role but seems to get pushed aside to easily for my liking. Harrison would be a great fit for us.

Landon Collins - would be a great Chung replacement for us. Big, physical, quick. He could easily become the star player for us. When we’re in nickel or dime packages. He would also give us a big hitter that we haven’t had since Rodney. Even with the new rules.

Pat Pete - we would have two legit lockdown corners, in Gilmore and Pat Pete. Would also allow JJones to play in the slot where he should be.

Not sure what we would need to give up, picks, players etc.

I’d happily give Shelton and a third or 4th for Harrison.

Landon Collins - not 100% sure on the value so would give a second and a conditional late pick

Pat Pete - I think we’re looking at a 1st, and bunch of other picks/players potentially. Hogan? Not sure really.

Agreed they're gonna have to extend him another 5 years bc that team is a borderline expansion team.

He's a mediocre coach that really got lucky w someone else's players. His ego is so big he's burning the place down just to prove a point.

Draft Picks are great but that team already had major holes & he's created more.

If they don't have HOF worthy drafts over the next 2 years they're done. Only chance that team has is if the owner suddenly gives Reggie the reigns back bc Gruden can't draft for sh it. Ask any TB fan how he left that team. He left that team a mess. Guy thought Johnny Football was a top 5 pick.

Landon Collins or Patrick Peterson? Which one would help the D more?
