Patrick Peterson Wants Out of Arizona

True. Peterson's 2019 cap hit for the Pats would be $11M - the 14th highest cap hit among CB's for 2019 ... just a couple hundred thousand more than Logan Ryan's 2019 cap hit, and greater than $2M less than Malcolm Butler's 2019 cap hit.

Basically, the Pats would be paying a combined $26M for Gilmore + Peterson in 2019, while the Titans are paying $24M for Ryan and Butler.

Yeah... we'll always appreciate Ryan and Butler for what they've done, but no way they're worth as much as Peterson + Gilmore.

When people compare potential CB duos and interject the money issue, they should remember to include the cost of the trade, as well as the salaries. You may still prefer Gilmore/Peterson over Gilmore/Butler/1st round pick, for example, but that cost has to be part of the analysis, IMO.

Should be, but Chinese is just as healthy as salad. Have you ever seen a fat Chinese person?

Yes - but only the ones that eat mainly plain rice with vegetables and small amounts of protein. Not oily lo meins, fried rice, orange chicken etc... Obesity in China is increasing in the big cities - western tastes migrating over

Wouldn't give a 1st rounder. Rather give a 2nd and 3rd.

I think so. Then again, I refer to all Asian people as “Chinese.” Does that count?

All the "experts" determine that Peterson is worth,

- 2 1st-picks
or
- 1st-pick, 2nd-pick (minimum)
or
- 1st-pick, 3rd-pick, and 2 other picks

IMO - I'd pass if this is the "ransom".

Rumor is: Chiefs, Eagles and Patriots....

I would do whatever it takes. He's in your control for a few years and he's hitting his prime. This is the type of talent you don't pass on. Give up a 1st and 2nd and your defense becomes infinitely better within the small window that Brady is great.

I don’t know if anyone’s giving up two first rounders or a first + second. I know the market’s been wacky with the Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper deals, but I’d be very surprised.

Yeah... I doubt that anything over a 1st would be needed. Mack deal is entirely different from this due to the position he plays. I'm expecting he's dealt for a 2nd and 3rd

I can see someone parting with a first rounder, or maybe even a first + mid/late rounder, but I might be a bit hesitant to part with two high round picks.

Not sure how I feel bout giving up a 1st for him. Although we do have 2 second round picks so moving back into the 1st round wouldn’t be an issue.

My guess by looking at this post is, most think giving a first is too high, but most don’t think compensation is to overly excessive. Also many are suggesting sending multiple picks starting in the 2nd range with additional picks ranging from the 3rd to 5th.

Well what if we went even more block buster and traded our 2018 1st (32), and our 2018 2nd (64) (leaving us the bears 2nd), & Eric Rowe

For Patrick Peterson (CB) and Haason Reddick (2017 13th pick)

Now personally for me, this is a trade I could totally fall in love with.
