The whole secondary sucked, aside from some flashes by Gilmore and a little hustle by DMac. I don’t remember seeing an opponent who had that many wide opens plays in a long time.

I thought Jones was really good, actually. Best player in the secondary today, in my mind.

I'm still pissed at them overturning the White first down spot. It feels like those kind of challenges never result in an overturn. And unless I missed an angle I saw nothing conclusive suggesting it should have been.
Agree. 345 Park Ave hosed us.

It was 24-13. 2 score game with plenty of time left. Going for it inside their own 20 is a high risk, low reward move.
Going for 4th down with 80 yards to go is so low percentage. Even if you pick it up, chances of scoring are still low. At midfield when you make it, do not need to go far to be able to at least kick a FG.

How about the Encroachment penalty that wasn’t called as “Romo “ called cause the ref couldn’t get It out of his wasteband

What is Brady's QB sneak percentage? It's got to be up there.

But yeah I get your point. While watching the game I felt like they just needed to just go for it. If not just to let the defense rest for another four downs.

Totally agree. Thought Gilmore was a little inconsistent today but also played well at times (coming off his man to stop a runner short of the 1st)

Exactly. Not worth it there at that time

His one real weakness (Gilmore's tackling) seems to have dramatically improved to this point.

The bar wasn’t set very high. Those Jaguar WRs were wide open.

I hear ya. Part of me wanted them to go for it as well but it wasn't the right time for it.

That was a great play nailing Bortles before he could get the first. The strip sack also.

But I tell ya...that sinking feeling watching Bortles outside the pocket with no Patriots defender anywhere close to account for him.

This team needs another big piece either on offense or defense. Frankly i wish it was on defense. This d line is soft as charmin.

Romo was being an idiot there. That was a good and proper no call BECAUSE ALL THE IDIOT OLmen FELL ASLEEP AND FORGOT TO REACT.
If the defender jumps offsides, doesn’t touch anyone, and gets back onsides before the snap and the OL doesn’t break their stance it’s not a penalty and never has been.

The ref was likely reaching for the flag because he figured a NE player would stand up or touch the defender to draw the neutral zone infraction call. When none of them did he rightly stopped reaching for the flag.

So did the Jags. Can't really use that as an excuse. Id like to though
Of course but Pats always suck in hot weather this time of year in Florida. I've seen the Pats lose to even sucky Miami teams down there. I'm not discrediting Jax but adding some perspective. I'm not defining the Pats for their performance in this game.
