I already don't listen to Minihane. He's horrible. I can stomach Dale and whoever is on with him now. (I guess I don't listen regularly if I can't tell you who is on with him.) I really don't care for Big O. Merloni is just ok, Fauria is sophomoric. Between Big O and Fauria, I can only stand about 5 minutes.

For the life of me, I can't wrap my head around how bad sports radio has gotten. Hot takes and outrageous snippets just to garner clicks. It's terrible. But, having said that, here we are... talking about them.
It always surprises and disappoints me that, in a region with all of these print/on-line outlets and former players living here, these 2 stations still cannot find a dozen or so people who are easy on the ears, want to see our teams win but are not afraid to criticize when warranted, and are knowledgeable enough to engage in discussions that actually matter, such as personnel, game-planning and strategies, without having to constantly rely on gossip-mongering and other irrelevancies to fill the air time.

The good news is up till now I couldn't really claim that TB12 and I had something in common, but now I know we both think Minihane is a sniffling little sh!t and WEEI is an open sewer.

PS: Reiss's piece on this incident says "As part of a contractual agreement between WEEI and the Patriots, Brady is a weekly guest of the station during the season" so TB12 has no choice but participate, it's part of his job. Note how it uses the word guest. Some way to treat a guest, Minihane!

Everyone should boycott WEEI. They don't deserve out time, and they're obviously crossing the line when it comes to TB12.

I think they could supply someone else. There have been guys who didn't work out and the team(s) supply another person. I say teams because I believe all the local teams have similar arrangements.

I feel like, more often than not, they even take it a step further. Not only do they neglect to talk things like game-planning and strategies, they openly MOCK the idea that it should be discussed. They use terms like "wham block" or "setting the edge" in derogatory tones, as if they're made up and the only true measure of success is whether or not a guy is "good" or "he sucks". That's the level of depth we are offered in sports radio these days. The saddest part is, that's what we get because it's making a golden hooker's treasure trove of money.

Of course, those sleazeballs are thrilled because their abhorrent behavior will get them thousands of clicks and retweets, which are the currency of today's sports media.
They won't be so pleased if Brady suspends his interviews with them which is bound to negatively affect their audience. I can't imaging Tom is paid enough for it to really matter to him.

And that is why I pretty much stopped tuning in. They make fun of fans who want to know about the game itself and not the personalities that play it. They complain about BB being tightlipped but don't ask him football questions, where he would go on for mins just talking about a play. These guys want to turn sports into an athletic kardashian show.

More like Buffet Mauler, amirite folks?

Seriously, though, it's a huge upset that he's pictured on the field at Fenway. People like that never have negative hottakes about the Patriots.

They have a contract with the Pats... Go to the back up. Minihane can ask Hoyer what he knows about Larry Nasser, why he sucks, and hair transplant therapies. Meaningful things like that

Brady’s guru has been most unpatriot-like distraction in Belichick entire tenure.

I’m glad they grill him about Alex G. Hope they always do.

If Guerrero worked instead at Panera Bread none of this would be happening

According to all of the principals it's not a big deal, which they've already answered. They will allow Guerrero some access under team control. It's a business relationship.

This is nothing more than media driven drama, the fakest of fake news.
