Seems like there's a lot of people saying there's no way Richards makes the team... which feels more like wishful thinking than any kind of educated prediction.

Although, with the new kickoff rules, perhaps other players will excel on those teams more and lessen his value?

I'm not sure that Glitch's value can be lessened any more than it already is now.

It’s real early, but reports are positive about rookie CB’s JC Jackson and (to a lesser degree) Duke Dawson. If those guys continue to develop and show up, Jones might need to be even more than a good player. Camp competition is going to be tough at cornerback and he might need to beat out the likes of Jason McCourty or a Eric Rowe to make the 53.

I'm not sure that Glitch's value can be lessened any more than it already is now.

I know negativity is kinda your jam, but if you can't see he had value on ST, then you're just trying to be cynical. No one is judging Matthew Slater on his ability to be a WR, we shouldn't be judging Richards on his ability to play safety. We SHOULD be judging the coaching staff for either A) continuing to beat their heads against that wall, or B) failing to properly coach him up. Those are fair assessments in my opinion.

I'm always judging the coaching staff too...but if Ebner is fully healthy by the end of TC and is able to resume his punter protector role, then I don't see even whatever STs value Glitch would have remaining that would be sufficient to keep him.
