That’s just not true. Even a casual college fan like me heard plenty of negatives about him when the pick was made, and strong opinions it was a ****ty pick, and it looks all the world right now like it was a ****ty pick. It’s kind of weird not to acknowledge that to be honest

Sometimes we don't like a pick but convince ourselves to like it because we want it to work out. And we cheer along with everyone else and put our doubts way back on the backburner.

Then when the guy is a bust you feel cheated because you knew he was the wrong choice and got fooled into believing.

This is where people are with Polk right now and it will take a dramatic, nearly impossible turnaround to change this perspective.

Polk re-injuring his shoulder is an issue. Depending on the severity, it could mean anything.

If he needs surgery, he'll be IRed.
If it's not that bad, he could just be rested.
If it's not season ending, the Pats could wait until Cut-downs and then IR-DTR him.
If it's not bad, but the team is done with him, they'll Waive-IR him, let him hit IR and then reach a settlement with him to let him go.

We'll have to wait and see.
