Not really, because then you are including Armstrong for just one season, at the age of 35, his final year in the NFL, correct?

Whether it is 2000-2025 or 2001-2025 shouldn't really matter.

I'm including the 2nd best LT this franchise ever had, which IMO is worthwhile. YMMV

Kicker is probably the biggest discussion to me.

Both Vinatieri and Gostkowski have 3 rings. Vinatieri has the bigger moments and game winners, but Gostkowski was here for nearly 3x as long and played in 6 of the 9 Super Bowls, broke the extra points record here, was the scoring leader 5x as a Patriot while Vin was only once (2004), that technically ties him for most seasons leading the league in points with Don Hutson and Gino Cappelletti.

Most of Vinatieri's major records came in his time on the Colts.

Tempted to give it to Gost

If you include his entire career then absolutely, in fact he's probably the starter on an all time Patriot list. Based on the parameters of this discussion however, his last year only being counted, he isn't even in the conversation. It's the same thing with Bledsoe, in an all time list or taking his entire career into account of course he is making it. If all you can add is 2001 then a couple good plays against Pittsburgh hot off the bench and hanging on to not **** it up like he usually did doesn't count as better then Maye. It's not dissing the player to say only based on this time frame, they don't make it.

The weird parameters are throwing this entire thing off because it feels weird to disregard seasons played by people in the 90s because they only put in a season with Belichick.

Really should have just made it "The best of the Belichick era" and specify it's only out of the people drafted or added in FA from 2000 onwards.

I'd go with Leon Gray if the discussion were all time but Armstrong would be right behind him.
The rest is just too much parsing for me

You have to go with who was the better kicker. Adam was relied upon during the early years because they didn’t have the powerful offense they had during the Ghost years.

When you think about it, Adam was only needed for kicks in 2001 and 2003. 2004 was when the tide turned and he wasn’t needed anymore when Corey Dillon transformed their offense.

It’s not Ghost’s fault Bill refused to give him a chance to put up 3 on the Giants in SB42 on that idiotic 4th and 13 call going for it.

Ghost blows Adam out of the water in pretty much every category.

Then that changes things. I based my list off guys who were with still on the Pats and who were the best at the peak of their careers. It doesn’t matter where they were at specific time frame for example Bledsoe from 2000-2001.

I initially left Armstrong off at LT because the cut off was 2000, but I decided to add him anyways.

But if its quarter-century it has to be 2000-2024 or 2001-2025.

Which makes a big difference at least for QB

Rodney Harrison made the 52 man cut for the 2026 NFL HOF.

Kraft, Adam V, Wilfork, Mankins, Assante Samuel too.

Damn. Id saw Brees and Fitzgerald go in this year. Vinateri should be a lock but the voting bloc is a joke.

Darren Woodson was a bum compared to Rodney. His sb mvp was ridiculous.

I think all the lbs should be in besides suggs. Wilfork and witten to round it out
