It’s pretty obvious there was more tension then usual between Belichick and Brady/Gronk in 2017 and it stemmed from the Guerrero situation.

We know no such thing. We know we have lots of media chatter about it. We don't know if the same tension has been present for years and now sparrows are chirping. We don't know if a bad actor or two is making things up or greatly exaggerating. No one is going on the record. It's just a vast sea of he said, she said.

We also know there's a vast sea of airwaves and web pages to fill, and a large number of ears and eyeballs ready to absorb it all, fact and fiction alike. A lot of them unfortunately are (alleged?) Pats fans. A lot are not Pats fans just hoping/praying it's all true. One look at the most popular threads on PFT shows the rest of the league is soaking this up.

at least on the Pats.

So, working with someone outside the facility like TB12 is not out of the norm, it's expected.

What BB said in his presser is to the effect that you can't have 53 different trainers hanging around the facility.
Guerrero hanging around the facility and the sidelines amounted to preferential treatment possibly due to his connection with TB.
Why Gronk got his panties in a bunch is beyond me.

It's also going to be a continuing process, and there's only so much that can be done, both at any one time and overall. Sooner or later, fate + genetics = differences. That's pretty basic knowledge, but it's not as sexy a zinger as "I thought this was supposed to prevent that stuff".

I'm neither a believer nor a non-believer when it comes to Guerrero. I can think of other NYFL players who have had long careers and never met the man or used his methods, especially QB's but not limited to those.

When/if Gronk and Brady are gone we'll see who was behind the success. I trust Bill when he says that coaches don't win game, players do. He's right, especially in the case of Brady. Every win the Pats had in the SB was by the hair of their chinnie chin chins. Without Brady most of those wins wouldn't happen.
