Hogan, James white and Burkhead limited in practice...that doesn't sound like "full strength" to me for the offense

For the first time in about 2 months Brady will have

Cooks/Hogan/amendola/Gronk/Burkhead/white/Lewis available.

Thats pretty full strength. at what level we will see.

We can disagree with each other and still be respectful to others.

I think after seeing Bortles last week, I'd rather have Jax come to us rather than Pitt. I respect Jax defense, but think we'd be able to score enough to win that game, kind of like Houston last year.

As Bill says though, let's focus on Tenn first.

I didn't call him idiotic. I called his claim idiotic. Two vastly different things. Why is there such an issue with reading comprehension here? It is quickly becoming apparent that this forum is an absolutely ridiculous waste of time for anyone who doesn't get off on pointless arguing over nonsense.

Hope so.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (No. 1 seed): Tom Bradythrives despite drops.

“The Patriots' pass-catchers have dropped 30 targets from Brady this season. Brady and Matt Ryan are the only two quarterbacks who saw their teammates drop at least 30 of their throws and still made the playoffs. Brady has lost 264 yards through the air due to receivers dropping passes this year. As if Brady needed any help to boost his resume, it's wild to think the MVP candidate could have stuffed the stat sheet even more than he did, had his receivers squeezed a few throws here or there just a bit tighter.”

Divisional Round: One under-the-radar storyline for each team

how are they quantifying a “drop”?

cooks has had his fair share no doubt, but i don’t recall too many more than any other year.

JAG just shredded the Jags. He hung 44 on them.
The TITS just beat the Jags 15-10.
The Bills just held the Jags to 10 points.

So, in the past 3 games, the Jags have gone 1-2, have been torched for 44 points once, and have been held to 10 ppg in the two other games. If you want to talk about idiotic claims, let's talk about this one:

I want no part of the Jaguars in the AFCG.

I don’t care if Pittsburgh and the jags made one super team, they are not waltzing through here and doing anything other than losing badly.

When you target everybody in an offense with new focus game plans every week, drops are gonna be a fact of life. So is the fact a few of those guys are new to the Pats and their schema. Lastly, longer offensive routes probably contributed too.

Isn’t the standard in the nfl that if the ball hits your hands, you better catch it, otherwise it’s a drop.

I don't find it all that funny. It makes me sad to think about the fact the greatest QB this team has ever seen, a guy that has done so much for the area has fallen victim to a scam artist criminal like Guerrero. This will not end well for Tom or his legacy. Reminds me of those videos you see of senior citizens falling for lottery scams. I just feel bad for the guy.

And yet, here is Brady, doing something no one has ever done before. So obviously Guerrero is doing something well. My guess is that they both prove you wrong and help many athletes achieve longer careers after Brady hangs up the cleats.

I am much more worried about dealing with the Steelers again....As opposed to the Jaguars… Belichick would have a field day with Bortles...Steelers will be a tougher team to take out twice....especially with Brown
and Haden....

Patriots Offense Primed To Finally Be Back Near Full Strength Saturday

This is exciting news. I think it will be more important if we play the Steelers in two weeks than it will be this Saturday. The reason Pittsburgh almost beat us was that they were able to mix in a lot of man coverage against us. With a healthy offense they wont be able to get away with that nearly as much. Hopefully they beat Jacksonville this week instead of getting embarrassed by them like they did in week 5. I want no part of the Jaguars in the AFCG.

No offense but basically every analyst would pick the Steelers as being the tougher upcoming opponent for the Pats in a division game....QB is a huge factor in addition to defense....and the jags QB threw for 87 yards last weekend and barely eked it out against the Bills....but as B.B. said....our focus should only be on Tennessee right now....!

No, that's not what that means. You either have an issue with logic or reading comprehension. I meant what I actually said- that Jacksonville has a much better chance of beating the Pats in Foxborough than the Steelers do. At no point did I say I was conceding defeat before the game even starts. So, sure, if you superimpose your own arbitrary meaning onto my comments than it becomes laughable. Problem for you is I didn't even almost say that.

I am not sure we will see Hogan and Burkhead. They are limited, that doesn't mean they will play. In fact, I suspect they won't play.

Jaguars have a much less prolific offense than the Steelers. They have an excellent defense that can rush the passer, but Tom Brady should be able to get rid of the ball. Taylor was so terrible in last weeks game, he missed a lot of open receivers. I have to believe that Brady would make at least half those throws.

Post hoc ergo propter hoc.

I may be in the minority here, but I think we match up well with the Jags or Steelers, obviously in different ways. Both teams are good and will pose problems but we can beat them. First though, we need to beat the crap out of Tennessee.

Well looks like you found the loophole in the new code of conduct!

"That was the dumbest f'n thing I've ever read. I can't believe how absolutely idiotic that post was. That post should probably kill itself for being such a moron, and then I will go have sex with its wife." But it's fine because you didn't attack the poster.

Also, the worst interneting is when people claim that someone else's failure to understand their post is a matter of reading comprehension. 90% of the time it's definitely because that person did not post something understandable; the lack of reading comprehension attack is lazy and cheap.

  1. Attacking the post is not a loophole. It's S.O.P..
  2. Opining that someone can't grasp what they read is, very often, a more polite way of noting that said someone is an idiot.
