Patriots Offense Primed To Finally Be Back Near Full Strength Saturday

This is exciting news. I think it will be more important if we play the Steelers in two weeks than it will be this Saturday. The reason Pittsburgh almost beat us was that they were able to mix in a lot of man coverage against us. With a healthy offense they wont be able to get away with that nearly as much. Hopefully they beat Jacksonville this week instead of getting embarrassed by them like they did in week 5. I want no part of the Jaguars in the AFCG.

I'm glad about the Pats O, but surprised you want no part of the Jags. They could barely beat the Buffalo Bills at home. I am cheering for an upset by them of the Steelers (although I don't think it will happen). Either way I am glad TB12 will have lots of weapons for this playoff run.

If you think that's funny, you don't have the slightest clue about football. Great front seven and an elite secondary. Exactly the kind of team that gives the Pats fits. Teams have taken out the Pats with just one of those elements, let alone both.

Stop embarrassing yourself.

No, i am laughing at the fact you are scared of them. They are a good defense, for sure. But to want no part of them means you are conceding defeat already.

What they did or didn't do against Buffalo is irrelevant to them playing the Pats. It's about matchups. And they are a really bad matchup for New England. Pretty much every expert agrees.

Using that logic, Jacksonville would destroy us since they killed Pittsburgh, who we barely beat by the skin of our teeth. It doesn't work that way.

No, that's not what that means. You either have an issue with logic or reading comprehension. I meant what I actually said- that Jacksonville has a much better chance of beating the Pats in Foxborough than the Steelers do. At no point did I say I was conceding defeat before the game even starts. So, sure, if you superimpose your own arbitrary meaning onto my comments than it becomes laughable. Problem for you is I didn't even almost say that.

You said you want NO part of jacksonville (not, “i’d rather face pittsburgh”). In other words, you are afraid of them.

I do think jacksonville will present some match up problems but their QB is bortles. Hard to envisage him coming to foxborough and beating the pats.

Offense at full strength is great... but one other factor must be considered...

Looking good. :)

I don't find it all that funny. It makes me sad to think about the fact the greatest QB this team has ever seen, a guy that has done so much for the area has fallen victim to a scam artist criminal like Guerrero. This will not end well for Tom or his legacy. Reminds me of those videos you see of senior citizens falling for lottery scams. I just feel bad for the guy.

Blake Bortles...IF you ask me between Big Ben and Blake, who has a better chance of coming into Foxboro and defeating the Pats, it's Steelers led by Roethlisberger without a doubt. Yes Jags have a great defense and a Pats-Jax matchup would likely be a low scoring game but I think it would have to be a 2015 Philly type game ( blocked punt for TD, pick6 and punt return for TD) for Jax to win.....
That being said, I would rather face JAx than PIttsburgh.

I don't agree with this (also, there is no reason to call someone idiotic, etc. for disagreeing with you - Ian just had a whole PSA about this this week). While Jacksonville does appear to have a good D, they are in a weak division that had no elite QBs this year (which would contribute to their good defensive stats), their play was on a downhill slide into the playoffs (lost their last 2 games), and their O could only manufacture 10 points (7 of them very late) at home against a Bills D that we scored 37 and 23 against this year. Jimmy G. was able to put up 44 points on them a few weeks ago. Good defense or not, I say their O won't be able to keep up with ours and they are an easier out. I am much more worried about the Steelers, who played us pretty close, coming in here and getting a win, even just by the law of averages.

I didn't call him idiotic. I called his claim idiotic. Two vastly different things. Why is there such an issue with reading comprehension here? It is quickly becoming apparent that this forum is an absolutely ridiculous waste of time for anyone who doesn't get off on pointless arguing over nonsense.

Oh the irony...

Surprised you forgot to mention that QB they have who you described as playing like the best in the league. I guess that bold declaration didnt age that well..

Lets keep in mind how the 49ers tore up that elite D and not get our panties soiled about it just yet.

We're really going to laugh at people for being afraid of a team that has Tom Coughlin and an amazing defensive line?

Give me the team that the Patriots historically own in the playoffs over a relative unknown with some crucial similarities to the 2011 Giants.

I agree. Everything that dafoe posts is idiotic. But is he an idiot? Hard to say.
