Pending they get the 3 seed, what chances do you give NE to win the SB? Obviously this is hypothetical.

I said about a 15 percent chance due to injuries to Valentine, Branch and Van Noy, travel, and no Edelman

Brady's achilles is healed, he was listed as a full participation

The travel won’t be an issue. Nothing cross country. We’re talking jacksonville and Pittsburgh

Staying at different hotels, different citites, and having to fly from NE to Jax? back to NE, and to Pit in consecutive weeks would have an impact.

Jesus dude. These are just convenience built in excuses. This team is full of vets that are used to the grind of a season. They will be ready to go and if they lose it won’t be because of a hotel. The opponent was just better.

They are going to lose because the hotels dont have good mattresses!!!!

whatever their chances are at 2 or 1, decrease by 33% for winning the SB, 50% for getting there, if they have to play Wild Card weekend.

Is it possible they win the SB as a WC? Sure. Likely? Not as likely compared to having the 2 seed. Certaintly not as likely as having 1.

It's not a coincidence that they lost road AFCCG's in 13 and 15; won home AFCCG's in 14 & 16. Playing on the road makes everything tougher.

No it woildnt. Playing 2 games on the road is harder. Playing 2 games consecutively on the road is the same as playing them non consecutively.
There is no evidence that the patriots do worse in a roadgr following a road game than they do in all road games.

Winning the Super Bowl is always hard. Do not think Pats would be 75-100% to win it with the 1 seed. There are some very strong NFC teams so if the Pats are fortunate enough to get there it will be a battle. Winning it from a 3 seed is not impossible as there are no individual games where the Pats would be sizable (if at all) underdogs but when looked at collectively it would be a challenging task. Hopefully they do not need to find out and have a week off round 1.

I think the biggest advantage of the bye is resting up getting healthy and an extra week of self scouting and practice. In other words it’s a bonus but not a necessity.
If they play a game that week and win they are right where they would be, except needing to play on the road, but if they are going to play like a SB team, it won’t matter where the game is.

1) We're going to beat Pittsburgh lmao

2) 3 seed isn't "from the wild card", unless you append the word "round."

Single digit odds. Playing Baltimore then Jacksonville would be devastating. Yeah, those two teams offensively are nothing to write home about but play gritty, physical defense and with so many of our guys banged up...

In fact as the 3 I’d say we would be betting favorites until the afc championship
