As the football world continues to wait for the start of training camp later on this month, both Julian Edelman and the Patriots social media team took some time to celebrate “throwback thursday” this week by sharing a few vintage photos.

Over Instagram, Edelman shared a photo from his early Patriots days before he became a starting wide receiver in 2013.

Prior to that season, Edelman spent his rookie season in 2009 through 2012 playing a variety of positions across all three phases of football whether it was returning kicks, playing defense, or catching the occasional pass.

Fun fact, I carried a football everywhere I went between the years of 2009 and 2012. #TBT,” Edelman wrote in a caption referencing the start of his NFL journey.
Take a look at young squirrel below.

Also on Thursday, the Patriots shared an incredible classic photo shoot featuring Drew Bledsoe, Tedy Bruschi, Damien Woody, Lawyer Milloy, and Troy Brown as construction workers “building” the then new Gillette Stadium during the 2001 season.

These guys sure look like a team that was prime for an upset of the “Greatest Show on Turf” later on that winter.

As an aside, the Pro Shop should really consider re-selling those “Patriots Construction Company” shirts.
