Don't worry about it. It really doesn't matter. I get a lot of dislikes and disagrees I don't deserve as all of us do at some point. Sorry. You won't be the most liked poster on this board. Every knows that's Ken...

He is like the Bee Gees and everyone likes him... What a goddamn jerk huh? Who the hell does he think he is!?

DI got a 'dislike' from me for his response to your post for the sole and exclusive reason that I can't help myself from being a smart ass wiseguy. :)

"How would you handle this?"
"We could try ignoring it Sir"
"I see, pretend nothing's happened and hope everything turns out ok in the morning"

Dumbass drops
Needless fumble inside the 5
multiple first downs given because of penalties on 3rd down.

Just looking at how the last 2 minutes of the second quarter played out, it could have been 14-7 at the half. Instead, because of the Raiders' insistence on implosion, it was 17-0. We'd say that was the Patriots beating themselves, if the shoe were on the other foot.

Well that is true sure. It is also true most teams in the NFL shoot themselves in the foot. The ones that don't are usually the good teams and that is over half the reason that they are good.

It is fair to say your comment is akin to saying "this would have been a closer game if the Raiders were the Steelers" or "this would have been a closer game if the Raiders were a good team and not a bad one".

I am not saying you are wrong. If the Raider didn't do those things it would have been closer. But we have seen over this win streak teams fumble outside the endzone, have key drops on 3rd, get penalties on plays they scored a TD, give the pats a first down when they were about to punt, fumble kickoffs, ect...

It isn't just the raiders it's what teams that are not good do which is what the raiders are. I will agree this game could have easily been closer and the Raiders soiled themselves more than most teams we have faced this year.

So...YOU are the "Mad Disliker!"...I did not know that...

Andrews has been playing very well too

"The New England Patriots have been on top of the NFL for an annoyingly long time. Luckily, all good things come to an end. Even for Patriots fans. After nearly two decades of success, it’s time for the Patriots to sink back to the middle of the NFL. Here’s why this is the season that finally happens."

"Tom Brady is 40. Tom Brady is old. Too old to play football.....How many quarterbacks are successful at Brady’s age? Not many. Superstars and superheros like Warren Moon, Vinny Testeverde, Wade Wilson and Johnny Unitas all had losing records in their forties. The only guy to have a great season at 40 is Brett Favre and we all know Tom Brady isn’t as good as Brett Favre."

Sure, but the Raiders offense is supposed to be better than that, and it was last year. Mistakes happen, but that team looked like its collective mind was on grabbing some tequila and hookers instead of playing football.

I agree but fwiw the Raiders have been doing the same **** all year. So I'm not sure if we can call it an implosion if it's the norm.

When Tommy Boy retires, I hope he doesn't post here in the Game Thread. He'd be such a downer.

"Tom, you guys scored an NFL record 100 points in tonight's game. You never punted all game, and the only time the offense failed to score a TD, you got a 25 yard field goal. What can you say about tonight's performance?"

"Well, we left points on the board, so we'll have to work on that."

nothing...some people just hate your guts because...well..I don't know why. Me? they hate me because I'm a contentious old fart who suffers the fools badly.
I find those likable qualities

The issue is consistency. No not the Raider consistency, which hasn't existed this year, it's the consistency of either the Patriots competition decides to collectively suck/play below their ability when they play the Patriots, the NFL is producing an exponentially greater amount of inconsistent slop, or there is something about the Patriots that make opponents become unforced error laden discombobulated boobs.

You've sort of got separate issues there, to my way of thinking (NFL issues v. specific team issues), and I think both are worthy of their own threads.

So, I'll just say that I find your answer interesting and worth a nice discussion, and maybe I'll start a thread on those notions in the next week, if I remember (holiday and all).
