Everyone was ****ting on the squealers. Right now they have a better defense than us. Everyone in the NFL league has a better defense than us. It's baffling to me why it sucks so much. It's very vanilla
Vanilla? Hell I'd take Vanilla that's at least a average this is a **** sundae

Gilmore did actually hit the receiver in the head; maybe the official shouldn't have thrown the flag since it was away from the play, but it was a penalty. The defensive holding call on a run play was excessively stupid, but it didn't affect all that much. Gilmore should have been flagged. He also had a very rough game. I think he may have a fatal case of stupidity, to tell you the truth.

Thursday night's game will be weird. I think a lot of the problems facing the team right now are coaching, though. Offense is fine, but one or both of Patricia and Belichick have a complex when it comes to mobile QBs. They refuse to blitz them or allow ends to do anything but break contain. Without pressure, if the secondary doesn't hold up, guys like Smith, Watson, and Cam have had all the time in the world to beat them. Winston is prone to mistakes, they need to force him into them. But if they sit back and hope he does it for them, they're going to have to score every possession again if they want to win.
After they get owned by Tampa they'll be 2-3. Any changes? Nah.

My brother- who is a Phins' fanatic- just sent me a text " loved the officiating for the pats game" & a giant smile emoji.....that even he is admitting the refs screwed us is pretty huge.

Offence is well oiled we're putting up 30+ points a week. Defence is garbage and Stephon Gilmore is an absolute joke. Hated the signing and hate it even more now.

Offense isn’t really the reason to worry. The defense is giving up 32 ppg. No team will be better than 8-8 with those averages.

I made a post in the game thread saying this is the worst defense in the league and I had like 5 people disagree with my post. Statistically it is the worst defense in the league in people are in complete denial about it.

It is entirely possible to think that this is actually not the worst defense in the league - that things will improve as the season goes one - and still not be saying everything is fine. You're assuming an extreme position on behalf of those who disagreed with you.

Kony Ealey having a great game for the Jets

How is this relevant ? He couldnt convince the coaching staff to keep him over some of the rushers we have now. He would be zero help.

I told everyone during pre season that Gilmore is trash, I remember last season when he gave up on the player that Hogan burnt him on and started pointing fingers while Hogan wasn't in the endzone yet. Dude is straight garbo. Patriots should have won this game easily, refs completely held them back on offense 4 different times with stupid OPI and Holding penalties not even including the defense. Funny how Patriots get robbed by the same team when Gronk was held in the endzone.

speaking of gronk...i would like to see him and cooks more involved.

Jerome Boger's one of those guys that's makes the game about himself. He's a joke!

I don't need stats to confirm what I've seen. I have been very tempered in my criticism of this team and particularly the D because I have felt most of it is communication issues (and still feel that way). But this is just bad. Both the Texans and Panthers could not score, move the ball and/or keep from turning it over before playing the Pats. Then they look like the greatest offenses in the league when they play the Pats. It's just bad right now. I do still believe in the coaching staff.

Most of the issues are communication and Gilmore being a bust of a signing so far. I expect the former to get fixed. The latter? Time will tell. Butler has been the much, MUCH better corner if the two through 4 games.

I disagree about Butler. He was mediocre at best and got beat several times against a JAG and a gimpy receiver. Van Noy had a decent game but everyone else was pretty subpar.

I can't for the life of me understand what Belichick saw in Gilmore that made him willing to guarantee the guy $40M

i think that's affecting butler. some loser CB gets paid big bucks and a loyal pat is still making league minimum.
so disappointing so far..

forgot to add, pat chung = ****

last two games boger ****ed us, against Cam Newton and Geno Smith hmmm

It's starting to feel like Bill paid him more for what he thought he could do and not for what he actually is.

I thought that McCourty was a bigger issue than Gilmore.

People want to hold thos BS helmet penalties against him - which is just frustration talking.

I'd honestly say that the refs were pretty corrupt - I don't like Boger at all - the calls they were making were just ridiculous and at such key points.

Most of the defensive screw ups seemed to center around McCourty (which is a surprise) and his coordination with Glmore and Rowe (in particular).

Just very odd.

Awful D and awful reffing.

I expect BB to make changes on the defense whether that means sitting players or Trading for a player. Hes traded for players in oct-nov for years now.

elandon roberts - doesn't belong in the league
