Now this is beyond stupid.
1 Man Pro Personnel & College Scouting Dept. Permanently worried about all 32 teams o-lines. Draft Day is my Christmas & Day 3 my New Yr. God Bless America.
Against a 3 man rush though.
But you're right. NO may do the same.
Although they don't have the secondary KC has and may need to try to get pressure on Brady by rushing more.
My thoughts are all over the place.
Going to watch some if the Saints game to see what they ran against Minnesota.
Question for you anyone else.
Would you consider playing with an extra Oline guy or a 3rd TE given the speed the Patriots have on offense?
Not sure if it's a good idea or not. But thinking of giving Brady more time in the pocket although I 've read that that can backfire.
OK. (But a coulda-happened-to-anybody argument re this event doesn't change that the way some people move and play, the makeup of their body, their personality as a player, their genetic endowment, their history of injury, their age make them injury-prone. Amendola is that kind of player. I wish it were otherwise - he's been great - but there it is. Plus, he's got models to console him, which will soften the blow.)

Amendola would feast against that Saints defense.
That would be under the only circumstances in which we would want Fleming to see the field voluntarilyIt would be a nice way to get Fleming on the field, and we're probably the only team in the league with the personnel to run a dangerous passing attack out of a 3TE package. **** it, why not?
Nope he is not. Last concussion was in 2013. But keep trying to milk the lazy injury prone argument.
MM is at a concerning point in his career . His recent injury can potentially ****** his development. While I would not put them in the Dobson category, it sure would be nice to have Mitchell return to his Super Bowl form.
Until recently, Julian Edelman missed large chunks of time throughout his first few years. Whatever he did in terms of his body or conditioning to help overcome that, I hope Mitchell finds a similar formula or luck.
He's had one injury so far that's caused him to miss significant time as a pro. I don't say that to suggest that it's a good thing, more to state that the idea that he's proven himself notably unreliable in the Amendola sense isn't reasonable or justified, at least yet.
What happened to Mitchell this time anyway?Advances in orthopedics notwithstanding, sometimes a bum knee is a bum knee. They don't always get better (I've got one), particularly if you're a skinny guy who gets clobbered for a living. I think he does have to prove he can hold up, and I hope he succeeds.
Better, non-tweet based reporting might include some more insight.I'm one of the others.
I take it as being confidence-deficient, on both sides of the LOS, but especially on defense, where the toughness, leadership, and production of not only Hightower, but also of Rob Ninkovich, Jabaal Sheard, and (to a somewhat lesser extent) Chris Long will be missed from what was provided in 2016.
Combine those losses with those on offense from 2016 of Amendola, Edelman (including his inspirational, infectious leadership & clutchness), Mitchell & Martellus Bennett, and there is little wonder why there is a quiet, low-energy locker room today.
His knee just doesn't seem to get better. Not sure what the problem is, but it seems t might be chronic. What happened to Mitchell this time anyway?
So there wasn't something in practice or something? His knee just doesn't seem to get better. Not sure what the problem is, but it seems t might be chronic.
So there wasn't something in practice or something?
Pats finally hit on a WR and he can't play. Fingers crossed I guess.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, it seems a bit mysterious, although there might be some reporting about it that we're not remembering or didn't see. It's difficult to figure out, really.
Mitchell tore an ACL way at the very beginning of his 2013 season in college (not sure which knee), but he apparently bounced back very well in 2014 and 2015.
He was healthy through the 2016 regular season until the very end, when he was held out of the finale against Miami and the first playoff game v HOU (knee). But he played in the AFCCG and looked great in the Superbowl. Was it the same knee he'd injured in college?
Then, he was held out of 2017 spring practices/OTAs and was exclusively on the rehab field during Camp until mid-August, though the issue he was dealing with was never disclosed, AFAIK. Most folks seem to be assuming it was knee-related, but ....? If so, was it the same knee he'd injured in 2016?
Anyway, O'Shaughnessy rolled up on Mitchell's leg in the pre-season game v. HOU. Although I thought that it was Mitchell's left leg, it was his right knee that he appeared to be having problems with the rest of that game. He didn't practice thereafter.
So, IDK. With all the unknowns about which knee was injured an how it was injured, it may be a bit premature to be thinking of Mitchell's situation as a "chronic knee issue."
Unlike Mitchell, however, Edelman did not have a history of knee "issues" before he ever even became a pro....Until recently, Julian Edelman missed large chunks of time throughout his first few years. Whatever he did in terms of his body or conditioning to help overcome that, I hope Mitchell finds a similar formula or luck.
