Absolutely. The issue with McCourty is that a lot of his best work A) happens off the screen, and B) results in the ball never entering his zip code in the first place. And when you do see him around the ball, a lot of the time he's mopping up someone else's mistake. All of which is a recipe for casual fans who only half know what they're watching forming misguided negative opinions about him. I wish everyone who criticizes him would go watch a game in person and spend every defensive snap watching him closely at the expense of everything else. I think they'd be surprised to see the number of deep routes that his presence alone shuts down.

First off, Goodell was on the ramp with the public? If true, how I so wish that Joker was there.

Secondly, nobody else was on the ramp? When was this, 11 am?

Third, who took the photo (that was for their 'personal use') if it ended up in the hands of the NFL PR guy?


I'm guessing one guy works for Exponent, another for Ted Wells, and the third is an intern at 345 Park Avenue, and that NFL security had that particular ramp fully blocked off.

Week 3 is almost always the most interesting preseason game to me on a schedule. It's a good indicator for what to expect going into week 1 when the games count.

Carr looked very good tonight. The kid is a gamer.

Hollister and Carr both had good nights. They definitely upped their currency. Tough catches in traffic.

Carr looked to be an aggressive blocker during run plays as well.

I've been saying all TC that I would not at all be surprised to see him cut, even as a second rounder. Now, I really think that unless he has a major turnaround, I do not see Cyrus Jones making this team.
