Seriously, for a country that supposedly is proud of its history of free speech its extremely ridiculous how his kneeling and comments made him a bigger persona non grata than human dirtbags like Greg Hardy, Richie Incognito or Terrell Suggs. Seriously, **** that.
It is obvious that the "Non-Football" factors is the main reason he is not being called. I mean, I know that he kinda sucked recently, but he was a GREAT QB for a season and I've seen back-ups in this league who simply can't play, so are they really worse than Kap? No to give him 1/90th of a roster spot? Please
I'm not saying that I agree or disagree with his actions, btw. Also, there are other factors like that he sucked recently, prob wants good money, doesn't seem focused... Still, biggest factor, to me, is the "Non-Football" factor, which is such a dumb name

? He's not getting locked up or shot in a back alley some where by the government, he's getting nonviolent consequences from other citizens. The owner has free speech and choice too, doesn't like what Kap is saying and doing, doesn't want him around. Of course that's also hypocrisy on the owner's part as well, but who among us is completely consistent? This.

Free speech goes both ways. If he wants to exercise his right to take a knee, those that disagree are free to exercise their rights to give him some blowback for it. Free speech isn't there to protect only what you agree with.This.

Still not sure why everyone cares so much about a QB who sucks and doesn't care about football.
This is not a free speech issue. Nobody is going to jail or being punished by the government so this has nothing to do with his right to free speech (not to mention the fact that while you have free speech, your employers can punish you for saying the wrong thing at work).This.

Kap is unsigned because his talent (or lack thereof) does not justify the hassle and distraction he brings. Same thing happened to Tebow. Are the people who run NFL teams hypocrites? You bet'cha. Thanks for the insight. But if you're not good enough to start, you're not good enough to start ****.
Couple other teams he'd also start for I think. I have to think that if the Texans decided to go that route Kaepernick could probably outplay Osweiler. Not that that's much of a contest.
Two completely different issues.
One group of players should be suspended or in jail and for the people who don't know any better should be ashamed of themselves.
Kap has every right to do what he did but with that said, everyone who disagrees with his position also has a right to give him hell for it.
Freedom of speech does not include freedom from the consequences of that speech.
People are free to disagree with you and choose not to employ you because of the speech you choose to make. It's called life

Texans trade quarterback Osweiler to Browns
It wouldn't be much of a contest because Osweiler now plays for the Browns.
That's what you call damning someone with faint praise, but even then I am not so sure it is accurate.Um, he would be a starter for the jete.
