... and the Omissioner was in the room too!

I heard this on Florio's podcast today. He was really digging into Biscuits and the Omissioner with sharpened fangs.

Skip to the 8:00 mark in:

Starts slow, but he definitely ramps it up...

If you can't listen right now, here's the link to the text:

In summary:

That’s an honest, frank, and candid assessment, provided by Bisciotti with Commissioner Roger Goodell in attendance. And it directly conflicts with Goodell’s past insistence that teams consider only football impact when deciding whether to sign football players.

What, Rog told another porky?

And he really laid in to the Ravens for deciding to "crowd source" the RG3 vs Kap decision, and laid out the history they have of doing what ever they wanted to do, regardless of fan input:

Consider that one in light of the team’s history. After linebacker Ray Lewis faced murder charges and then pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice in connection with a pair of killings for which no one was ever brought to justice, the Ravens embraced him without giving it a second thought — and without considering or soliciting fan input.

Ditto for running back Ray Rice. Over a period of months, the team stubbornly defended Rice despite knowing that he’d knocked out his future wife in an Atlantic City elevator, staging along the way a shameful press conference during which the victim apologized for her roll in getting knocked out. Only after video evidence let everyone see with their eyes that which they should have been able to envision with their minds did the Ravens cut the cord on Rice.

Florio was saying stuff you'll never hear on BSPN or the NFL Network.

In short: Same ol' NJFL...

Still not sure why everyone cares so much about a QB who sucks and doesn't care about football.

Ravens and Colts have been dumpster fires since DefameGate.

Coincidence or karma? I choose karma, it makes me feel better.

Goodell can go **** himself a twin brother.

This. People are all crazy about the fact that some backups are worse than K. So what ? If he sucks, which he does, what does it matter that some suck more ? If he was even close to being a top 10 QB, he'd have a job.

It is obvious that the "Non-Football" factors is the main reason he is not being called. I mean, I know that he kinda sucked recently, but he was a GREAT QB for a season and I've seen back-ups in this league who simply can't play, so are they really worse than Kap? No to give him 1/90th of a roster spot? Please

I'm not saying that I agree or disagree with his actions, btw. Also, there are other factors like that he sucked recently, prob wants good money, doesn't seem focused... Still, biggest factor, to me, is the "Non-Football" factor, which is such a dumb name

Maybe the Ravens don't want to sign Kaepernick because they would have a starting QB controversy before the season is over. Flacco still represents more than $28 million in dead cap space in 2018. If Kaepernick were to replace him they would be hard pressed to claim poor for their roster/performance due to what it costs to retain their franchise QB.

He's quickly become pretty overrated but he quietly had a nice year with one of (maybe the worst) worst roster in the NFL. Not worth the hype, but he could be a solid player for a few teams.

He was terrible last year.

Well he is a QB who can't throw the ball accurately so that's a factor. He was never a great QB.

Far from his worst season. Problem is he is who he is at this point and probably better off developing a young passer. In the right spot he'd be decent. He's a bit of a tough fit.

Pretty much was he just didn't throw too many picks.

Non-football considerations are part of the game today. There are players the Pats won't sign due to behavior.

Why is the ratbirds owner admitting to something that is already known. We saw how they chose to cover up Ray Rice smackdown even though Ray Rice told the truth about what happened. And everyone else on the team including the ratbirds owner wanted to cover it all up thus completely destroying his career because they covered it up.

Colin Kaep under the right coaching can win more Flacco. I think he proved that years ago. He just needs the right system. He isn't good enough on his own.

Honestly What Kap did to warrant all this controversy .. all this media coverage to me is way over blown. Its a guys opinion of his views on the country.. and he is no politician or any way apart of the US government. I personally could give to ****s if he stands or not. The issue I had with Kap was his lack of knowledge or communication skills to articulate why he wasn't standing.

The guy isn't that good, that's why he isn't playing football. But these owners make me laugh... how dare someone stand defiant against the rules that allowed me to inherit or become richer than god!! People with power tend to get a little defensive when someones idea could threaten there life of luxury. Problem is Kap was an idiot. I don't think Kap was going to start a revolution lol..

So dumb that the Ravens owner is asking their fans to "pray for them" as they think about signing Kaepernick.

This is the same team that stood behind Ray Rice after he knocked out his girlfriend (with all their fans showing up in Rice jerseys to games) and Terrell Suggs dragging his girlfriend from a car and they have a statue of a murderer outside their stadium, but a QB who gets a little political requires handwringing and prayer and the team will take input from their fans. Glad they have their priorities straight. Such a low class, garbage organization. Complete trash

I'm so happy I root for the Patriots.

You mean that season Moss was still pulling double coverage and they made it to the SB? Yeah, he was great... just like Culpepper. Kap is garbage - not because he doesn't have the gifts - he certainly does. But he doesn't have the head to be a top 10 QB, as evident by his short-sited protests. Hey Kap, enjoy obscurity and your addition to the "biggest bust" list.

This.

Seriously, for a country that supposedly is proud of its history of free speech its extremely ridiculous how his kneeling and comments made him a bigger persona non grata than human dirtbags like Greg Hardy, Richie Incognito or Terrell Suggs. Seriously, **** that.
